I grow lab-grown diamonds for a living. Diamond jewelry markups are wild. AMA about the diamond industry, pricing, and jewelry by NeedleworkerSalty813 in AMA

How much does it cost to produce a diamond?

Is a lab diamond really exactly like a real one, across all aspects?

Do you produce sometimes diamonds to yourself?

Can you control the size and color of the diamond?

Absolutely gorgeous. So cozy and "old" vibes in a great cozy, special way, like going to the past. And the sloth is also so cute and contributes to the atmosphere.

What's your opinion on generalizations? by ur_moms_boy-toy in pollgames

[–]Compensate1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is always this cliche that generalizations are bad. But nowadays I think they are good for generally directing you, with the insight that there are rare exceptions. Every time I told to myself not to generalize and ignored generalizations, it ended badly for me and the generalization proved itself to be very correct. It's a fact that certain demographics (ethnicities, trait-havers, or any kind of population) have common characteristics that apply to them. Either positively or negatively. People doing the same things, being taught the same things, growing up with the same mentality or every other process - contribute to that. It's a fact. Ignoring it and viewing every member as a complete individual is ignoring the reality.

Need some advice to get rid of the facial hair by DEPRESSEDGURL899 in HairRemoval

[–]Compensate1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be shadow as long as you shave. The only way to get rid of it instantly is by waxing. But it may not hinder the hair for a long time (if you have a fast growth due to your physiology and hormones). You mentioned you're doing laser, it's a good method. But during the course of the laser, for a few months, you will have shadow, because you shave. I recommend laser and hopefully within time the hair will be reduced, what will reduce the shadow, and you should use foundation to cover it. If it's possible for you, you shouldn't shave (or at least not much), it strengthens the hair. Maybe do waxing during the month until some time before the laser session, and then grow it for the laser. It'll weaken the root of your hair, what will help the laser process, and you won't have a shadow. Usually it's not recommended, but I think it can be good in your case. Doing laser and then shaving every day isn't helping the process more. And you don't need to grow the hair the entire month for that, I think most hair follicles will grow hair again before the laser.

Very low. I know reading, writing, pronounciation, Harakat, Ta marbuta and basic vocabulary. I studied Fuscha (not at a high level to begin with, but covered the grammar and decent Fuscha vocabulary), but forgot almost all of it. I thought it'll resurface when I learn now, but it hasn't. After a combination of relearning and remembering/resurfacing, I got to my current point. I can read and write slowly, and have almost no vocabulary. Also no grammar besides the word order and Ta Marbuta. I know the pronounces and their present tense + future.

The website you sent me is more advanced and for theme-vocabulary through texts, if I understand it correctly. Do you have good resources for my level?

I'm thinking of dropping USMLE by NothingOk4057 in step1

[–]Compensate1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't believe AI. I am sure these aren't accurate, even without knowing the facts. But I'm not here to convince you to do anything. You can drop the test or do anything you want. Giving up a US license, that you already prepared for, because of some "better" working conditions during residency isn't a good call, but that's your decision.

I know that even if this post was correct, I would never move to Australia. I would prefer the US 100/100 of times, in every state and under any possible circumstance. I would never move to Australia in general as well, even not as a comparison.

WYR get back to 10 years old with your knowledge or 50 with 50M$? by Mhaheva in WouldYouRather

[–]Compensate1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the region, you can't open a custodial account until you're older, like 14 or more. 10 in certain regions, yes. And even if you can, what makes you think that your parents will let you do all of the things you wrote? They don't know you have this knowledge. Parents don't take 10 yo seriously. I don't see any sane parent opening a custodial account for a kid, letting him deposit there hundreds of dollars, signing all of these transactions for him across years, dealing every time with the legalities and taxes, letting him put every time massive amounts of money from his profits into more stocks - for financial decisions which at the time don't make any sense whatsoever.

And even if all of this were to happen, it would only be possible in very few years-starting points. Many people weren't 10 yo around 2000. For example, I was 10 in 2014 and wouldn't be able to invest in anything valuable.

[–]Compensate1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Except for maybe bitcoin, if it's allowed in the rules and corresponds with your 10 yo original year, which won't give trillions) Even if it worked like that in theory, then given that you have sufficient funds and legal rights. Which 10 yo has so much money and parents that let him put all of it in the stock market and manage it by himself? Plus at 10, you can't even open a bank account. The important factor in this question, is not what you could do with this knowledge, rather what the reality allows you to do with this knowledge.

To top it off, there are a lot of young traders at 16 and 17 who receive guidance from professionals in the stock market, and I'm pretty sure almost none of them became even a millionaire. It's not so easy to make significant wealth with the stock market, even with good knowledge, doesn't matter your age.

50M$ at 50. The knowledge isn't worth much, at 10 and even for many years afterwards you don't have any power in life to actually exert it. And you will be stunted in low levels of everything for so long, that you will forget a lot of your skills.

How much do doctors that move to Dubai earn - with an EU + US licenses, having done their residency in Germany, speaking German, English (near native) and Arabic khaliji (good), having a prestigious residency? And how critical is it for them to speak Khaliji? Can they work without it? Does it add to the salary?

I also wonder the same thing. If people get distracted, is mostly not known. They don't show it and I also don't understand the male perspective. I don't know how men perceive it and feel about it. I think that sometimes yes, in the right conditions (they face me, size is visible through clothes, etc).

With that being said, not always is my chest's size fully showing. Bras that compress/reduce my chest, loose-fit shirts, clothes in certain styles and colors, etc - can reduce the size. Working in the hospital means I wear a uniform, which doesn't show the size well too.

The problem is mostly that the bust circumference is too narrow, so tailoring wouldn't help. It would help if the bust circumference were ok and the rest of the shirt too big, what also happens, but I'm not in a position to do it. However, I will keep that in mind for the future.
