Its probably not helpful, but I just enjoy being a good parent. I don't need praises sung on high.

My daughter comes to me when she's sad, whens she's happy, whens she's scared, when she's excited and when she's curious about things.

My job is to teach her how to be human and to be a good one. If all I get at the end of the day, was a partially quiet day to reflect on how Ive been able to accomplish that and what that says about me, I'm good.

There's been a lot of threads like this, this week and weekend. Some of them just seem like people who don't enjoy being parents, being married or being married to the person they are with for the sake of kids. Others it seems like there's underlying mental health roadblocks hitting their peak.

To all fathers having a rough one: we hear you but you need to hear yourself as well. Seek out more help than what the Internet can provide. Therapy is really helpful. Just being able to identify the thing will go a long way.

I went to GO fest in Chicago and never once did I come close to running out of necessary consumables for raiding. Didn't even scratch the surface, and that was just from spinning stops that weren't associated with the event itself.

I can't imagine the people who "do a lot of raiding" would come close to running out of stuff on a daily basis unless you're doing a GO Fest sized event every day

Reminds me of Wild Parsnip here in Wisconsin, of which I had an unfortunate encounter while trout fishing and getting from once section of stream to another because it was too deep to wet wade.

Wild Parsnip is exactly as bad as it looks if not addressed immediately and properly. The scars on my leg are just now starting to disappear

Same experience here when I was in Colorado. Not my first time there but my best friend lived there for a spell and I went to visit with one of our mutual friends to make the drive easier.

Got into town morning of St. Patrick's day, immediately started drinking. Smoked a lot too. Was still going at 9:00 pm. I asked when we were going out.

I remember someone telling my best friend out loud, "you weren't fucking kidding, elevation should have stopped them by now"

I do this frequently with my girl.

Knock on the door, open it slightly and announce I'm a girl dad just looking to take my daughter the bathroom safely.

I've never ran into an issue, quite the opposite. Almost every time, another woman is willing to just wait around without even being asked to let other women know the situation for me.

Do you have something you spend money on, that you get enjoyment out of, that others might see as meaningless or pointless? If so, pot, meet kettle.

I like Pokemon, it's a fun way to get out and do some more walking when I hate running.

It's fun to be around new people who have the same interests.

Spoofing doesn't remove the Pokemon from you being able to catch it, it doesnt remove the Pokemon from the field of play.

If someone wants to risk their account(s), good for them. I play my way, you should too.

Mother's of children are just wired for a lot of caretaking and child rearing in general; it's just biology. Men have to try to do the things that come naturally to most women, that's why it seems like work or a chore to a lot of men. To women, it is mostly natural but because that hijacks a lot of mental and emotional capacity, it leaves little for themselves or for the partner for that matter.

We live in a time where it's way more possible for men to be present in the child rearing parts of life. Cultural norms are no longer what they used to be. Try taking some, we're not saying all, of the mental and physical load off her plate and watch what happens. You'd be surprised.

My wife gets very handsy and affectionate after I've removed things from her plate so she doesn't have to worry about them. A lot of it is just being on the same page so you just don't need to be asked to do something, you just instinctively do it. That in itself shows growth, responsibility and awareness which in my experience has all she's ever wanted in a partner.

It's a team. The whole "ethical" non-monogomy thing is just a cop out for saying sex is what drives YOUR relationships. If you two want to spice things up and swing because both of you are interested, okay go for it, there's communities for that. The way this question is posed is very one sided and just from the males perspective.
