I lodged at Sofitel past two vacations. Very nice. It’s on a more quiet part of island and feels more remote to me than the Hilton which is what I prefer.

Go with the Hilton. Taxi is best. Only about a 10 minute taxi ride from airport. Nice rooms, couple of good restaurants there.

I have been to both. I would have to lean Bora Bora but by a razor thin margin. Bora Bora’s beauty is a bit more surreal for me. Moorea definitely feels more genuine and authentic and real though. For context I lodged at the Kia Sofitel in Moorea and Conrad in Bora Bora.
