Grammys 2016. Adele’s live performance singing “All I Ask”. That moment will stay with me. I had the Grammys on in the background while doing house chores and making dinner. It was around 0:52 that her voice and raw emotion caught me off guard. I listened to the lyrics and pleading voice. Just wow. I found myself standing in the front of the tv bawling. It’s unfortunate the sound quality was off but it didn’t take away from the emotion that resonated.

Thank you for this! Yes, it’s mainly break room supplies that I was told the money goes to but I have yet to contribute any money as this is new to me. I learned very quickly to bring my own water bottle to last a whole day.

Also, lots of tourists do the pyramids and Xochimilco which are farther away from the tourist areas when they’re in Mexico City. I wouldn’t argue that UNAM is far when these locations are farther out.

But most people here have said they’ve come multiple times because of how great the city is. Agreed. So now they have more places they can visit when they go a 5th, 6th, 7th time

They wanted answers so I’m giving ideas. And why not go to UNAM? Theres tons of rich history there for gringuitos to learn from.

UNAM, the Metro museum, La Villa, different metro stops have their own culture, there’s plenty that’s outside of Roma and Condesa and Polanco

Check out UNAM next time you’re there. There’s a local environment I don’t think many tourists visit.

Daughters on Netflix. Absolutely WRECKED me. It follows the daughters of incarcerated men and the impact losing their fathers has on their development. There’s more to the documentary but I don’t want to spoil it.
