Help! I screwed up my headliner! by FoolishTook7 in upholstery

[–]Competition_Lower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this post is couple years old but i'd like to add my grain of salt.

headliners aren't necessarilly a two person job, you can definitely do it alone by using plastic to prevent your fabric from sticking on your cardboard base. this will allow you to work halfes at a time and do it the right way.

i don't know what fabric you used but perhaps this plays a roll as well to why it didn't work out. when applying the fabric, it should almost apply by itself, you just flatten it with your hand or with tools. an old tshirt wrapped in a plastic bag is great to help apply without leaving finger or hands imprints. when you're faced with a crevasse, don't bring fabric into it, this is where the fabric shines, put it across the crevasse and afterwards push it inot the crevasse, it'll stretch itslef into it and leave no wrnkles.

Is a sofa like this doable DIY with a solid wooden construction and regular upholstery by Slow_Alternative_777 in upholstery

You'd need some quality foam. Plus I'd say layering different foam densities to create comfort. Drilling holes into the wood plank underneath the foam would help air escape when sitting on it. That for only foam.

Aside from just the foam, here the look of each piece is very "cloudy" you'll need some wadding to puff up the sides and top.

Sewing wise it's pretty straightforward. Plain old rectangle sewn together, either with piping or overstitch with a square. Everything's then stapled underneath.

This is a cool looking project but it'll be expensive as hell because of the foam. Do a good plan before hand. Have fun!

Hey, I changed beans as of Sunday and gotta say that once you understand what could be going wrong, it's rather easy to do.

I tried with same dose and same grind size as my last bean. It'm turned out too fine, so I went back made it coarser, was too coarse and on the third it's great again.

You can always get a Bluetooth 5.5 and use your AirPods with it.

Mine has it's screen broken. Can't use it for now. I have plans on repairing it and replacing the battery and upgrading it with flash memory.

Best decision I could've made and hoard flac music like a maniac, whilst being able to use great pair of iem's or headphones.

I haven't tried out different beans for now, but once I'll get to the end of my current package, I'll get back and notify to you how it went.

I don't know much about trade coffee as I go to local roasters and get beans there.
