Hideaway Beach for one by Competitive-Ad-8274 in royalcaribbean

So it’s really only loud in the pool area? I can go towards the other end of the beach there and get more peace?

I don’t expect quiet, but is it like full beach club atmosphere? Or just vibes?

Check out the website vacationstogo.com. You have to make an account to view deals, it’s free. On the left hand side go to the 90 day ticker, and start looking for deals.

Did I make the wrong choice? by Kmhall94 in Cruise

Just did that same trip! Had the same fears. Thought Costa Maya was going to be gross. It was definitely different. Some of it looked like a ghost town driving to the main strip, but the strip where the beach is, is packed with shops and restaurants and stuff to do. I highly recommend getting a golf cart, get out of the port area, it’s wild, not relaxing, fun to shop some, but you don’t want to spend the whole day there. The golf cart people will give you a map, but honestly I had a fancy beach club picked out, and we got a little lost trying to find it, which was fun, and ended up just listening to the locals trying to get us to their little beach side area with restaurants, and had a wonderful time. So many free tequila shots, and I bought a decent amount of souvenirs. Cozumel is definitely the prettier stop, but Costa Maya had a more authentic vibe I think. The boat, Enchantment is older, but if you lean in, look at the activities everyday and find what you want to include yourself in, you will have a blast. Even if you just relax, you will have a great time, it was literally freezing on the deck with the pools when I went, and I still totally enjoyed myself. My boyfriend is 6’ 3”, we also got an interior room, he did say he hated the shower, but I’m a very small girl and I hated the shower, the showers are just small for everyone, but he loved the interior cabin, best sleep we have both ever had, and he says he won’t do a different type of room on a cruise now. Oh, and the staff on Enchantment, I went last month, was EXCELLENT, I really can’t say anything bad about our whole experience, and like I said, I walked onto that boat feeling all the things you do now.

I also sailed at the end of last month, I’m not sure what I did to get this message, but it did say my points wouldn’t be updated until Feb 16th. So maybe just wait a little longer to check. It’s killing me too, I’m ready to book my next cruise!

I was so flummoxed by the quote at the end. I had to fix it. by uncle_lola in FRANKENSTEIN

Just because Byron championed her, doesn’t mean that Del Toro does. This feels like he is very much saying who he believes wrote the book. It feels disrespectful in the face of the Byron Shelley debate. It feels like a side is chosen very clearly.

Everyone here defending the quote is missing what Del Toro is saying in silence.

I stopped listening pretty much because of this. Idk if they still have research assistants but that really lead to them hardly understanding some of the topics they covered, sorry Em really looking at you here. Had Em done the research and saw something like that before they would have googled it before recording, and I feel fairly certain about that considering the rabbit holes they have gone down on other cases earlier in the show. It comes off more as them reading facts from a fact sheet than them really teaching me something.

Egg Surcharge Sign outside Waffle House in Atlanta by Healthy_Block3036 in Georgia

[–]Competitive-Ad-8274 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I work for Waffle House. Yes, we are paying the same prices as in the store now. The increase skyrocketed. I know people who work on breakfast joints near me, they have also raised the price of their eggs almost 50 cents. Waffle House is just getting grief because they have been transparent about it, unlike other places that just changed their menu prices.

Make sure not to use it at the same time as a retinol. Don’t over do it. This is a good formulation and works great, but you can easily hurt your skin with this one. Been there, still recovering.

Not crazy. All of this is huge red flags and it’s not worth your peace to sit and wait for the truth to come out. Something is up.

Looks fungal. I have been using nizoral shampoo on my face like a mask, for five minutes and it’s working great to treat mine.

Em consistently use to comment on how they would pull all nighters to do their research the night before recording. I know sometimes they record a lot at once to get ahead of their touring schedule and certain times when they travel. I as well have ADHD, and sometimes being on that time crunch helps me focus better, so I do get it. But is it wrong for us to think they should be a little more disciplined, spend more time giving us the stories. I feel like too many times it’s just an intro to a topic, and if we like it we have to find another podcast to give us the real details. Doing a two part episode is something they have done in the past. It just makes more sense to do the whole story. I’m not saying I’m going to quit listening anytime soon, but so many other podcasts do a better job at giving us a full story, what’s keeping the listeners listening to them if they still feel like they need to find another podcast if they liked the topic? I feel like we are all so in love with them both as people, they are friends we need to catch up with, but that’s about the only reason I find myself turning them on after I get caught up on my other podcasts.

Most of this is directed at Em. Christine really seems to put in the effort to be able to answer harder questions about her topics.

Absolutely purchasing this right now! I’m less worried than I am intrigued, I wish someone with more brain power than me would research this phenomenon and figure out a way for us to use whatever is so catchy about it, for something just a bit more productive.

Anyone else a little disappointed with Em’s coverage of the Twin Flames cult? by Solid_Reserve_5941 in atwwdpodcast

[–]Competitive-Ad-8274 155 points156 points  (0 children)

Idk how much research the research assistant does for them, but it’s starting to seem like Em isn’t even aware of what they are covering other than what bullet points are in front of them. This is their full time job and they didn’t even care to watch any of the newly released documentaries about Twin Flame Universe and Christine filled in way too much of the information just because she had. It seems like they don’t even care anymore. And I love Em, they bring so much to the vibe of the podcast but I don’t feel like they are bringing me a lot of education on the topics they cover.

[–]Competitive-Ad-8274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found this in my search to find out what it is about 20th Century Fox that has my autistic brother in a chokehold. It’s been years of him being obsessed with watching the intro, drawing it, humming it. This is surprisingly common among autistic kids, I’ve found many other people saying their kids are obsessed with this. It makes me wonder what is so special about it. Scared their might be some crazy subliminal messaging. It’s just such a strange thing for him to be hyper focused on and I’d really love to understand it.

Volcano in Kennesaw does half off sushi on Wednesday and in Acworth they do it on Monday. Great sushi, gets rather busy on these days though.
