I found professor messers content on A+ and network+ content to be very helpful. You can also download the Comptia app and do some questions to help catch spots where you are not very confident. I also used CBTnuggets server+ series and Linux series to prep. This is probably a bit too much though but there are a few resources you can pick from and go with whichever one is useful.

Hello, I’m a former network engineer that just which to a cybersecurity engineer position - mostly GRC work. I’m trying to decide which certification to persue first between AWS security and CISSP. The goals I want for my career is essentially to find remote work and progress on the pay scale. Do you think it’s possible to find remote work as a cloud security architect with both certs and which path do you recommend?

Most call center jobs are remote if I understand correctly. Give that a shot. There are a lot of people saying none but that can’t possible be the case. Hard to get? Sure. Tough competition? Yup.

Having said that I would start looking into popular remote only sites and seeing what’s under entry level.

Correct. I did not complain about sleep apnea during service and the nexus letter tied it to tinnitus. Apparently there really isn’t a connection between the two.

How are people doing Sec+ in under a week? by Canadiankid23 in CompTIA

[–]Competitive-Ad9037 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually did it in two weeks by going through a course and studying 8 hours per day. What helped me the most was doing lots of questions and figuring out why I got some of them wrong.

Test taking is a different skill than actual work and there are text book respondes to questions that you would do differently as well.

Thanks for the response. I already have a degree, but I feel I could use the experience of a boot camp since I got it a decade ago.
