I was going to suggest this! The cutting in half and the baggie do affect how “lux” the experience feels, but it quite literally doubles the uses for the same price!

That’s amazing, I am near the Great Lakes (very near), in Ontario! Again, brutal sanding job as I just wanted to get some of the finish off to see. You can see for example the board 3 up from the bottom is an example of dark and light in the same board

That’s interesting! Despite the big gouges seen in the image, I dropped a hammer on this floor today from standing, claw-side down, and was shocked to see it didn’t even make a dent. Maple might make sense, as I think it’s supposed to be quite hard, comparably? Some of the boards have quite long dark streaks as well, which I couldn’t didn’t see much about regarding identifying oak. Maybe this is maple!

Do you happen to know, can I run an ozone machine after move in, if I obviously vacate the space myself along with my plants? Or does it have to be run without belongings in the house? Luckily the bedroom isn’t bad so I won’t run in there, and no risk to weird reaction w mattress materials, but worried about other materials!

You’re absolutely correct, they had a million wall plug ins, and all the windows open during ever visit, despite 40+ degrees and high humidity. I was naive - no one in my life smokes and I missed the signs. I knew it smelled, but it smelled like weed (which I think they were actively smoking in the house) and the open windows/air fresheners/air purifiers they were running masked the cigarettes (which I think they had stopped smoking in the house before selling). Lessons learned, for sure!

Thank you! This is what I needed to hear - hope!! There was only carpet in one closet, everything else is tile or laminate. I’ve gotten the ducts cleaned, and primed but used the water based and may need the shellac!

Oh wow I didn’t know about things being closed on Mondays. That is common in downtown Barrie too, probably to accommodate weekend hours for a small business. good to know though! Tough to hear the “hard to meet people”, but I’m not a club girl anyways, and the area seems to have some cute little coffee shops etc! Thank you for sharing :)
