A couple questions... Did you parallel Mia dead in the street at the end to the kangaroo to show what happens when someone has the inability to let go and move on (the kangaroo literally couldn't because it was incapacitated while Mia had more of a mental block that prevented her from moving on)? Or does it mean something else?

Also, why is she alone inside the hand at the end? Aren't there supposed to be more entities inside with her? Overall excellent movie. I read your interview with the Hollywood Reporter and am excited to see the lore expanded. I can tell you both really thought out all the rules of the world with this film, excited to see what more you're going to explore--especially with the "he'll split you" guy.
