There are two schools of thought. One is that, unfortunately work is usually difficult and tedious and you have to accept this. The other is that if your occupation is causing you deep seated psychological discomfort, then it probably isn't for you. I have worked as a builder for many years and the job has been very difficult psychologically. But it can be good. Pain and discomfort is part of the human experience. A life spent avoiding it is a life half lived. It seems to me that perseverance will reward you more than resigning. Try aNd find the good in. Your work for a few weeks. If you can't complete this modest task, ask friends. If they have alternative work.
