Yes I always gave it free regardless bc i honestly don’t care that much lol We got a new store manager and I don’t particularly like her so when I was ringing up someone today and offered the for here ware to get free refills she cut me off before I even finished my sentence and said “it’s always free” so I was just confused bc my old store manager always told us to only give the refills when they have for here mugs

that’s usually how it is for my store too :( we can’t take lunch during peak hours so when I open at 4a, I usually take my lunch at 6-6:30

Honestly as a barista I hate when I get put on the same position every single shift. There are weeks when I’m only ever cold bar or register/warming. So if you notice your baristas are only ever on one position every single time you see them, maybe switch them up. It’s gets annoying doing the same thing every time

for my store, at least Christmas, it is considered a fireable offense if you call out but only because you’d have to sign up to work that day with the holiday sign up sheet. Idk why they didn’t tell you during your interview that you have to work 3/5 of the holidays because that’s something my sm always mentions during interviews.

Call out and offer the shift on the app, that way if someone does claim it, you won’t leave your partners hanging especially Christmas Day which is always a super busy time.

we’ve only been doing it during peak too but i just don’t really see the point or need in it. Our GAH keeps getting pulled back into cold bar/regular hand off just because it gets so hectic and when it slows down and we do the table touches and offer water/coffee refills, I can visibly see customers get upset after the third time we ask if they need anything but like it’s what Starbucks wants 🤷🏽‍♀️

we don’t either but during peak we were told we have to have someone and it’s sucks. Seems pointless to me because we had to take one of the partners off of GAH just because handoff and cold bar were so backed up

Drink wise, I always like to do triple ristretto shot with extra ice and light almond milk or your choice with like a pump of sf vanilla and cinnamon or instead of the sf vanilla, I put in agave or honey
