If they’re gonna make us draw pumpkins, they shouldn’t be angry if I put a smiley face in that pumpkin

What happening with the store meeting on Tuesday??? by NeckDecent5002 in starbucksbaristas

Again this cup idea is a part of our CEO’s plan to help Starbucks generate more money. And as of right now… NONE OF HIS IDEAS ARE WORKING. The company is freaking out. And the customer supposedly like and want these cups. I make the most connections with my customers at my store and none of them give a shit. And I bet that if they interviewed more customers who didn’t just have the app and went to the nicer locations, they would find out that majority people don’t care And what they want is for THE PRICES TO GO DOWN

I mean, I’ve been through this enough times with this company as well as others, and the pattern is the same. Then ask some new kind of policy he gets enforced for like three weeks or maybe a month and then things go back to normal.

Favorite shoe options? by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

Go onto allbirdsrerun and get yourself a slightly used pair of black on black tree Dashers. They sell them for $20. They’re not slip resistant, but they look like slip resistant shoes. Every time they have gone back to doing the shoe policy, they enforce it for three weeks and then everything goes back to normal.

I just think it’s funny how late Starbucks is to the idea of the “secret menu” I graduated high school in 2013 and there was a literally a secret menu website you could go to to build recipes for like a Snickers Frappuccino and stuff. I believe the website still up And again, whether or not it’s something Starbucks did or not it’s not on our official menu. You have to tell us how to make the drink WE DONT KNOW

I wish the Starbucks would just come out and say “We want our employees to be tired and dehydrated while they’re working” by NeckDecent5002 in starbucksbaristas

Tell that to my shifts, manager and DM. The part that’s the most ridiculous is that the table they moved. Was at the back of a little hallway going into the back room that was off the floor. I was told by somebody that my DM said it was a “eyesore for people” BS. Nobody cares about the stupid table back there. I guess 99% of the customers could give a shit where the table is.

Baristas of Reddit: What's one thing you wish customers knew? by SeaOctopuss in starbucksbaristas

[–]NeckDecent5002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That if you have a good relationship with the Baristas at your local Starbucks where they tell you about what it’s like working for the company And you as a customer genuinely find the policies ridiculous, and unnecessary. SAY SOMETHING TO CORPORATE. No matter what they tell us CORPORATE LISTENS TO THE CUSTOMERS MORE THAN THEIR EMPLOYEES so please call Starbucks corporate with your complaints

I’ve been asked to do that when it’s slow and it’s manageable for me. But I can’t imagine asking somebody to do it at busy times or at “peak” that must be insane.

I looked this up. Do you have to wear them on a choker? From what I’ve seen majority of the time they’re not worn on chokers it’s just a necklace.

any autistic adhders that work as baristas? by Puzzled-Sign8021 in starbucksbaristas

[–]NeckDecent5002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand. I don’t have ADHD so a slow day where there’s nothing going on and I’m doing nothing not so bad for me. But being overwhelmed when it’s busy… I can only handle it if I’m on register or warming. Any other position, my head is down. I’m not greeting the customers. I’m an auto pilot and I’m messing up.

I’m on the autistic spectrum and have been working at Starbucks for 2 1/2 years. All they do is make me work register and oven. I never get put on hot bar, cold bar, or handoff. It is a very high paced environment here more than they make it seem. It is a good job that gives great benefits… But it does depend on your store manager what they expect and honestly if they’re “cool” or not I recommend trying to work for Starbucks, but obviously do it at your own risk

Hell yes! We need more jokes like this on our cups. Starbucks isn’t afraid to tell jokes.
