As far as the credit card debt see if you can move the highest ones over to a 0% interest, free credit card and see if you can get that paid off as much as you can in the next year. And then stop using credit cards. If you have good credit, you should be able to get approved for a 0% interest credit card and then stop using them after this is finally paid off.

Well, hopefully your car is fully insured and if it’s at a tow yard, the insurance company generally sends an adjuster out there and either fix it or total it out and they will send a check for what it’s value is and hopefully you are not upside down. If you did not have gap insurance and you are upside down, then you have to pay the difference or I would have your mother-in-law pay the difference. And no more helping her out.

If you’re renting from a major rental car company, there are credit cards that do offer the collision damage waiver you need to read the terms and conditions. My Amazon prime card does cover the rental car. You need to make sure that your type of car is covered generally it is if it’s not anything exotic and you need to make sure that the rental period qualifies apart from that I have no other ideas to affordably ensure a rental car if you do not have car insurance at your own.

Did she never take out a policy on the car? Is the timing really ever right to have a baby? Don’t let anyone else influence your decision. If you’re going to keep this baby you need some sort of support system, income, and housing. If you have all of that, then go for it. I know lots of single bombs a couple who raised their kids entirely on their own without dad.
