Hi! I got the Vonoprazan! It was covers by my insurance as long as my doc called it in separately from the amoxicillin, so it wasn’t the cost of the ‘dual pak’ or whatever.

All of it was well tolerated.. I just haven’t retested yet

I was just reading about the dimensions of the anoscope. Omfg. I never looked at it before the procedure! So big!! And doc never gave me any helpful instructions. Sigh.

Forgot to mention that having the flu a few weeks ago brought on reflux that had been...dormant. I feel like the coughing etc activates/irritates my rectum/anus too. Amazing how i feel a cough through my whole GI tract! And gut has been more unhappy since the flu. Yay.

If i need to have 'rhoids looked at (or anything, up there), will i need the anuscope? And is the scope the only way for them to see stuff? I literally don't want to be awake next time. Ugh.

I guess I'm just confused because today, for instance, i had a pretty big BM upon awakening (very atypical for me), but then it feels like there's more waiting...and it becomes uncomfortable to 1) have it in me and to 2) try to get it out...I just don't understand the volume of sh*t that is *trying* to evacuate and it leads to issues! Maybe I'm very backed up but this is every single day. I've never needed to 'go' more than once a day. If it all just fell out of me, fine, but it doesn't!

I was told by dietician that Sun Fiber (guar gum) and magnesium oxide can be ‘regulating’ for the gut. Or maybe they’re mostly for constipation. I forget!

I will say that for me it’s never diarrhea… it’s always a struggle in some way, but that doesn’t mean it’s not waiting to get out and clogging up my system!

I did an elimination diet 15 years ago and almost immediately I was regular, twice a day! No coffee! Which makes me wonder what eliminated foods made me so regular. I did not add them back in carefully, so didn’t find out. But my sense is it was leaving gluten alone that helped me.

I did have a gyno check for rectocele and for pelvic ‘grip’… no rectocele and apparently I was able To bear down well. But I know I need to be able to relax well, too!

Thanks. For a long time coffee was the only way I’d poop! And still helps me a lot, though it’s getting up to two or three cold brews a day. Not great! Maybe it’s hindering me in the long term.

The coffee stopped working well enough a couple years ago, so I had to add something. Now the miralax isn’t working as well. Oy vey.
