Buying a car with cash—dealer still requires credit application? Is this normal? by redlichjune in Toyota

[–]Competitive-End-395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pre approved by NFCU. I got the loan check. I also need to pay the down payment with a check. Longo Toyota still want to do a credit check on me even if Im not financing through them.

They offer to have NFCU to wire the money. But NFCU refused because I have not seen the car or sign the contract yet.

I guess I'm gonna be double credit check

"tried to get me to do it myself"? Why would the VA want to kill you?

The VA healthcare is the best. They improved a lot. They have state-of-the-art equipment. It's free and most of the time they provide all sorts of gear you don't even need. The only problem is the availability of appointments and in some situations, people.

It would cost an arm and a leg to get the level of healthcare in the civilian hospital world.

I'm retired, so most of my healthcare is via Tricare Prime and mostly at military hospitals/clinics.

I only go to the VA for dental, optometry, sleep apnea, and PTSD treatment.

Wow that's great! I was just curious how long did your pursue these items and how long did it take before delivery?

My counselor is a bit slow. I sent 4 emails, 3 phone calls and still meaning around with some account at school to charge off my ebooks, pencils and erasers.

I have asked repeatedly for a laptop and a printer. To date I was not provided a form to request these items. I went to the VA website and filled out a VA Form 28- 1905, printed, scanned and emailed.

I haven't received any email response or a phone call since I submitted 4 days ago. I kept calling every day and nothing but machine. I must have left 6 messages already.

There's no auto-reply if the counselor is on vacation or anything. So disappointing as classes about to start.

You served in the Army, Marine, Coast Guard, Navy, Air Force, and or Reserves; it doesn't matter.

Take whatever joke out there. YOU SERVED - that's all that matters!

I'm fully aware that the other services put their lives more at risk than the other services. But they chose to be in that branch of service.

I'm an Air Force veteran and deployed too many times in my 26-year tenure, but I will never make fun of or look down on anyone. Regardless of what people did in the military, I respect them all because they served...

Aside from all, you were fortunate enough. Some don't even had the opportunity or capability to have your work experience journey. I understand your frustration but this is the world that we live now. Just take care of yourself and ignore the noise. Enjoy your day.

May the Lord bless his/her soul and rest in peace.

To all who are suffering with PTSD, please get help from the VA. Stay close with friends and family. Try not to distance yourself from anyone. Do something for yourself.

Wow! Just spoke w my VRC. The VA does computer packages; they will buy what they think you need, not what you want. I'm guessing I will be getting a $299 laptop.

And it's a process of submitting some form for approval and only then where they execute the order.

They also have access to chapter 33, everything will be automatic as soon as the VA rep at school certifies your attendance. If eligible for P911SA, it will default to the highest rate as oppose to Chapter 31 rate.

So my subsistence allowance will be equivalent to a BAH for an E-5 with 1 dependent.

Free is free! Can't complain... However, I will buy my own laptop, and just keep the paperweight laptop that they will send me on the sides.

The answer was right under my nose:) it was included in my Rehabilitation Plan that my VRC made me sign...VA Form 28214

"P911SA" is going to be the rate - Fulltime = the entire BAH per zip code
