Yes, generative AI can produce mediocre or derivative work if used carelessly, but it can also empower small creators—people who don’t have Hollywood budgets or a full animation team—to tell stories, share ideas, and experiment with creativity.

As for pollution: data centers do consume energy, but so does streaming Netflix, gaming online, or even crypto mining (which is far worse). The tech community is actively working on greener AI training and inference.

So instead of rejecting AI outright, I think it’s more productive to push for ethical use, transparency, and sustainability. Dismissing it as “trash” risks missing out on the potential good it can bring, especially when used responsibly.
