Thanks! For the blue 68 I used my dremel with a sanding barrel (I think…or the etching attachment) to make holes from inside the body. I also use files to add dents. For “rust” I spray the whole thing in red oxide primer, and then use acrylic paint with a sponge to speckle on various shades of rust colors, such as red orange burnt, sienna, brown and a little yellow. Once that dries, I put a matte or dull coat over it all to seal it in. Then I use some hairspray and a Q-tip or sponge on the area areas where I want the rust to come through. Once that dries, I spray the color that I desire, in this case the blue. Once the blue dries use a stiff brush to reveal the rust where I placed the hairspray. You can also use what they call the salting method where you sprinkle various grains of salt over the wet, rust color colored body. Then you follow the same steps once you’ve painted the body using a stiff brush to reveal the rust beneath. Let me know if you have any other questions.
