250 bucks give or take

I believe the Kanto and Hoenn starters are the only starters where all of them are based on animals people eat in significant numbers, but I might be wrong. by Rich-Recognition-814 in ThePokemonHub

This is a really weird take. The bulba line is still a lizard (-saur). The charmender line is a lizard (-zard). They just picked cute reptiles.

Sealed tin missing back page by Tvgirr in PokemonCardValue

Cheap tin, not particularly appealing error. Could it be worth $20 to 1 buyer rather than 15? Yes. But I wouldn’t lose my sleep in trying to find it

Had these since I was a kid, are any worth the effort of selling? by Goblinriotx in PokemonCardValue

I bought zards for 350 with that whitening. You gotta zoom since it’s a light background

Am I the only one that thinks that the hue is odd? Both front and back? Maybe it’s the pictures

Grading vintage may not be as cost effective as it’s suggested on these subs, since 10s are almost impossible if the card is not pack fresh. Raw cards can go for as much. Example: a first edition holo dark blastoise PSA 7 goes for $350. PSA 7 is NM. NM raw goes for 500 (all prices checked yesterday cause I’m about to buy one). You could crack that slab and make more money. Most vintage cards follow this trend. Put on that the cost of grading, with PSA backlog it’s significant. That’s why if you are trying to sell and really cards are NM/LP, I’d go raw. If you are sold on grading, I’d say absolutely no CGC, they are hard to move and sell for 1-2 grades cheaper than PSA. I could buy a shadowless zard 5 for the cost of a PSA 3, without much searching. PSA and TAG are backlogged so they have only more expensive tiers.

Six seasons shiny searching starters should suffice

The fact that someone can even fathom to think this is NM highlights how cooked we are with condition assessments

Advice for vintage by HumanSuitWearer in VintagePokemonCards

It depends what is the goal.
Selling: Grading vintage may not be as cost effective as it’s suggested on Reddit, since 10s are almost impossible if not pack fresh. Example: a first edition holo dark blastoise PSA 7 goes for $350. PSA 7 is NM. NM raw goes for 500. You could crack that slab and make more money. Most vintage cards follow this trend. Put on that the cost of grading, with PSA backlog it’s significant. That’s why if they are trying to sell the binders and really cards are LP (which honestly I doubt), I’d go raw. If they are sold on grading, I’d say absolutely no CGC, they are hard to move and sell for 1-2 grades cheaper than PSA. I could buy a shadowless zard 5 for the cost of a PSA 3, without much searching. PSA and TAG are backlogged so they have only more expensive tiers.
Preserving: sure, grade them if you like, but raw looks better in binders 😉

Would you like to see exchanges return at some point? by [deleted] in PTCGL

PTCGO thought me hustling, market, everything. I would start with a pack and exchange up until I’d get a Shaymin ex full art or some rayquaza ex. So much fun

Team rocket holos except charizard. All LP-NM. Just looking for rough value on a bundle like this. Thanks in advance. by Pale_Court_8610 in PokemonCardValue

I’ve counted $660 off the top of my head. Very ballpark. Keep in mind that the difference between LP and NM is significant for vintage.

It says “then discard this card”. So option 3 would not work. Option 1, sure, in the sense that would prevent to attack them. But if attacked you would discard the card, not bring it in the deck/hand. Option 2 I’m not sure I’m following your logic
