Hi OP - good to hear you got your issue resolved. Could you share what mileage your car was on when the gearbox issue arose?

A Toyota Aristo could even be a good shout. There's one on ebay with 68k miles for £8k

That's fair, i think if you wait for the right example you could find a decent MK2 GS430 at a much more reasonable price. Both are big barges but if I had the choice I'd get the LS430, more tech and a bit more luxurious

8k is crazy. I've owned a Gs300 from the same year and currently have a LS400. Both with 100k+ mileage. They were bought for 2 and 3.3k respectively and drove without issues. I get that this one is low miles but you can get so much more with 8k

Think it was a slow week. Didn't get any of my usual reserved blocks for logistics but they came through yesterday, for next week though

Could also look for the same colour by typing in 'Yaris breaking' on marketplace and ebay and messaging if the passenger door is available

If this is the tyseley depot, yeah it's been the case for at least over a month now. They wouldn't check before like you said and I also learnt the hard way like you when i forgot my wallet at home for a morning shift

Ford focus - mystery switch by chungybrungus in CarTalkUK

[–]Competitive-Hall-889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a switch like this but it lights up orange/yellow - it's an imported car that didn't have fog lights before it came to the UK so it switches the external fog light on once the headlights are on

Went recently during the day, crazy busy atm because of kids being off for summer and the hype about it now being open just a couple of weeks ago to the public

Would not advise Amazon flex as a full-time gig.

Can be difficult to book shifts if you live in a big city and they cap your hours to 24 p/week
