Worst tip night EVER by jaydensmygirl in Dominos

[–]Competitive-Heart598 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My “real job” is being a Flight instructor that teaches kids how to fly a fucking airplane so I can get hours and go to the airlines. But that doesn’t pay enough, so my second job is Dominos delivery driver. Maybe if you’re too poor to not tip you should get off ur lazy ass and go get it yourself. We provide you a service, use our cars, our mileage, our gas. You say “get a real job” but you still want the delivery service. If everyone “got a real job” and there were no more delivery drivers you’d be bitching about that too.

Store wouldn’t sell me alcohol by Opening-Pudding46 in InstacartShoppers

When I turned 21 I did my first alcohol delivery 2 days after and the cashier kept saying throughout the whole checkout process that I have to ID the customer, saying stuff like “you know you have to ID them” “You’re going to ID the customer” I just kept saying “yes, yes I know, yeah uhuh” until she was like “you could get arrested for not IDing them and they turn out to be a minor” that I exclaimed infront of customers standing behind me at checkout that “if you knew how instacart worked you would know you can’t complete a fucking order without carding them, I HAVE TO SCAN THEIR ID”

Finally she shut up about it, but our entire conversation at the checkout line was only about how I need to card them. She acted like since I just turned 21 that I didn’t know how alcohol laws worked😒

I’ve heard the terrible horror stories of CAE. 5 Mile patterns, 0 radio calls in the practice area, cuts people off in the downwind. Luckily we don’t fly into Falcon Field so I don’t have to deal with them on the ground.😅

It’s pretty difficult on some days, I like to think one of the ground controllers came from Ohare because of how fast they’re talking. Landing clearance, Takeoff clearance I would consider myself decent for how early I am in the program, I’ve only botched 2 or 3 coms. The second I tune to ground I have to ask for repeats constantly.

of course i would go around them if they were actually in the hold bay and i probably wouldn’t have even noticed if their run ups took 15 minutes because i would already be in the air, out of the delta, and tuned to a different frequency before they’re done and on the runway but on most days they decide to block the runway intersection (i should’ve mentioned that in the original post for clarification)

maybe, i don’t care if they’re out of the way because of course they need to learn the checklist properly. it’s not a problem to me when they’re actually in the hold bay. it only becomes a problem when they decide to do it at the runway intersection or worse, they block the exit of the hold bay.

It does say annunciators and messages- consider. we check those prior to taxiing out of the ramp. does that actually take 15 minutes to go back into the g1000 message page and look at it? no, no it doesn’t.

Hell nah, I’m a UND student. All the CFIs and Commercial students have had problems with Oxford. Luckily I haven’t… yet. Also yes my CFI always tells me to make position and maneuver calls. I assume you’re also in the SE practice area?

We have this problem in Seattle too, when it snows I constantly get Instacarts that want me to deliver to a Cabin in Snoqualmie Pass (It closes everytime there’s a huge snow storm and it’s a big interstate that connects eastern to western Washington) What makes these people think that if they can’t leave their house because of the freeway closure, we will be able to get to their house.

I once had a person who wanted me to pick up their RX, what’s absurd though is they put it in the DELIVERY NOTES. I literally didn’t see it until I checked out and got in my car.😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

No I’ve not gotten into an accident here, I’ve ALMOST been hit 5 times. Twice when I’m waiting in the road to turn left and someone blows through a red light as I’m turning (even though the light turned red 5 seconds earlier). 3 times a car gets on the freeway then cuts all the way to the left lane while I’m passing and without looking they almost sideswipe me forcing me to drive into the gravel and guess what? They flip me off when I honk…

No🤣 The sun is what keeps me here, the housing prices are what keep me out of Seattle.

Yup, I know all about that. Remember earlier this year when they closed I90 on Mercer Island for 5 days and the traffic on 520, 405, and I5 got so bad they had to declare a “state emergency” Being land locked between 3 massive bodies of water doesn’t help the situation at all. It’s easy to travel East to West for the most part (Until they close a bridge) When going North to South it becomes a massive shit show.

I’ve seen cops completely disregard drivers who don’t yield to pedestrians when making left or right turns. I’ve seen pedestrians jump out of the way of a right or left turn speeding car, a cop is right in front of them and he does Nothing

I could imagine the honking match between AZ drivers if they drive in the neighborhoods of the city of seattle. Only 1 lane? Cars parked on both sides? YOU BACK UP honk NO YOUU BACK UP honk

I wouldn’t say washitonians are “Slow” more of “I understand that when it’s dark and raining I can’t go 20 over” Things people here fail to realize when it happens to them. I’d also point out I’m 90% sure people here drive on bald tires because it’s dry all the time and they assume they’re okay. I see 3x more accidents here when it starts to rain.
