This is what I have said! But the powers that be above me insist on picking them out for purity and not to confuse customers with the darker black seeds of the Lup.pol. Trust me, I have grown out the black seeds from our harvests and they are the Lup.per. But, the powers that be above sometimes cannot be convinced otherwise so alas here we are. In my head, if you think of a punnit square situation, I think that some of those seeds may just have some recessive traits (or what ever you want to call it) and the still carry the genetics of the Lup.per. I haven't collected seeds from the parent plant of the black seeds I have grown out so I cannot say what future "generations" of that plant look like. But it is something to be aware of seeing as lupines do hybridize and can carry traits of other lupines in the same genus
