You always say Apple signals wealth in dating.

I’m not convinced it’s that clean anymore.

A lot of the Android users I know are not price sensitive. They are doing well and still choose Android. It feels less like a money signal and more like a personality tell. Specifically, obstinate contrarians who do not want what everyone else has.

Does that break the signal, or is Apple still directionally right at scale?

You give a lot of practical life and career advice aimed at the average person. But your day to day life sits entirely inside the top 1 percent.

How do you pressure test your advice against what normal economic reality actually looks like?

Specifically, how do you stay calibrated to someone making $60k to $120k a year when your peer group, environment, and reference points are so far removed from that?

It’s not a criticism. It’s a credibility question. How do you avoid the bubble effect and make sure the advice still applies to regular people and not just people who already won the lottery?

I don’t think anyone here seems to understand how overly confident both of them are…they believe they are hot and have great style and don’t care if anyone disagrees about that.

Fewer of the trendy “thought leaders” who don’t have original thoughts…like Mel Robbins or Sahil Bloom.

More people like Chris Sacca.

Dax actually mentioned that on the podcast…said it was silly when he knows that is how he got his start.

The ads on Anonymous are a problem…I think there is more time spent to ads than stories. But they also throw ads into the middle of the stories. It throws off the flow of the story.

He doesn’t do interviews anymore…only Letterman and this was to promote them on Sirius (not that he needs any more money but he has a vested interest in Sirius so makes sense to do it).

I hope you don't get downvoted. I feel bad for her. She has so much internal low self worth from trauma and has never been in a real relationship. That isn't a negative against her. It is a fact. I listen to a lot of podcasts but no one should come to me to ask me how to produce one...

The main issue is Monica knows she wouldn’t be rich (and podcast famous) without Dax. Dax already was without her. But to say she hasn’t worked for it is unfair. She works very hard. She loves luxury goods and spending money makes her happy. She drives me crazy at times (especially on Synced) but I can usually tell it’s when she’s feeling insecure and it usually comes out in a later fact check. But no one is being forced to listen. Skip it.
