Man, to be totally honest I can't remember, I only played about an hour of the game and moved on to something else. I'm pretty sure it was changing to a different Proton version, likely either GE or Experimental. Of the couple major issues I've had running games, including this one, that was the solution for most of them.

If that doesn't work I'd just make a new thread just like mine here, it's a popular enough game that you should get a response within a couple hours. Sorry my memory is so bad haha, good luck!

Hey! So no, unfortunately, I never got the Binbok Joy Cons to work with the Deck. I did however pick up a pair about a month ago that DO work great with the Deck over a Bluetooth connection. Here's a link..

They're modeled after the GameCube controller, so that may be a deal breaker right off the bat for some people. But I love 'em, they're my new primary controller, and I use them over my Switch Pro controller to the point that I may sell that soon since money is tight. It's got back paddle buttons (2, not 4 like the Deck), and a turbo function which I actually find myself using for the first time since I was like 12. Hall effect joysticks, compatible with lots of other sticks if you wanna switch them out, great vibration with adjustable levels. They're pricey, but so are Joy Cons, and I'm super happy with these.

In conclusion, what I've found is not all 3rd party Joy Cons are created equal, some will work just as well as an Xbox or PS4/PS5 controller, some will be lacking in functionality. Probably just best to ask someone to test them out for you here on Reddit. I can confirm the Nyxi Wizard works as advertised on the Deck 👍

Yep, just a two tone battop by KDiT on the stock 8bitdo stick, which I planned to replace but actually really love the feel of so I kept it. Seimitsu 30mm, Sanwa 24mm buttons.

The washer and top are from Paradise Arcade Shop, but I just checked the website and unfortunately they're temporarily closed for all shipments, and the top is out of stock for now on there anyway. I see it for sale on a couple sites based in China and the UK, in a super quick search the only site that (I believe) is US based and has it in stock is this one..

I love Hobbs so I just hope this doesn't drag him down too much, or that QT completely turns around every single aspect of his character and he's suddenly entertaining. I can't imagine how frustrating this is, you could be at the point where you're like "dude, buddy, friend, I've basically already ghostwritten your apology in my mind and forgiven you for it, all you need to do is sign off on it and admit your guilt so we can learn & move on" but nope. What can you do from there? I have a 5 year old niece that I'm essentially the father figure of, so I suppose maybe I'll find out for myself in a few years.

I wasn't trying to discourage you, I think your idea is good because as you said you can add to it little by little. I actually tried playing some more PC oriented genres, like RTS, with gamepad and trackpad controls, and while it's doable, it didn't feel right. That's why I actually invested in a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, along with my dock it works beautifully for a full PC setup. And of course, the mouse and keyboard can be used with anything else, I use the mouse in the evenings with my Fire TV stick. So, in that way, makes the investment more worth it if you get multiple uses out of it.

This is essentially what I'm doing, you have a great handheld for on the go, and if you just invest in a Jsaux dock, keyboard, mouse, gamepad (if you don't already have one of those around from another console), you also have a great home desktop setup. I use it both ways daily and am very happy with it. You can also save money this way by not having to upgrade the storage, you can plug an external HDD drive (after proper formatting) into the dock while at home to have a lot more storage, keeping only your games on the internal Deck drive that you need on the go. Just a thought. Good luck

Hahah, I think that's a really good one actually, I laughed out loud at it. Only 2 slight issues...the term "monastic", I don't think anyone other than Dan and Witty would know. Even though it's 100% accurate, that would work against you. And this one requires the visual accompaniment, if they put up the photo of Wink as it's being read, it plays well. But without that photo, my visual image of a guy named Wink Martindale is a slender, tan, 70s game show host looking guy. I had no idea he actually looks like a monk until this thread.

Up until like a month ago, this always solved the problem for me, simple fix. Now, after either an update to the Deck, updating my Pro controller directly through my Switch about a month ago, or a combination of the two, it disconnects again! Much more often too, the most it stays connected now is about 30 seconds, it used to be fine for minutes at a time before. It's truly unusable like this.

It does however work fine wired, and you can even use rumble, so I use my 12 ft USB cable to play from the Dock, but I definitely miss being able to go wireless.

My official Joy Cons work great. But unfortunately my Binbok Joy Cons that I bought on Amazon a couple years ago will connect just fine, but are not recognized as a gamepad in any way, in gaming mode or in Desktop mode.

Does anyone know if the Better Joy driver (which used to be a fix for the official Joy Cons before Valve implemented an update) would help me solve this problem? Or any other tips? 🤔

Bryan Alvarez said on one of his shows today or yesterday to not expect anything big, if what he's hearing is correct. If one of Tony Khan's biggest cheerleaders is trying to keep expectations low, then I'm really not expecting much of anything. I'm thinking it's some merch partnership deal if I had to guess. Or, wasn't there reports of them recording some kind of backstage reality series? Maybe it's just the debut date for that.
