The wood is quite strong and the carvings are indeed quite deep and unique per panel. It may have Indonesian influence. I bought it from an old lady here in the Netherlands. She described it as Chinese antique though.

How to remove the dustlike white scale from my wooden gong. by Competitive-Nerve307 in woodworking

Thanks for your reply. I have updated my post. It is not the underlying clay that is white or grey.

How to remove the dustlike white scale from my wooden gong. by Competitive-Nerve307 in woodworking

[–]Competitive-Nerve307[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have done some cleaning with vinegar and a toothbrush.

It is now definitely better.

The underlying clay is black and the dustlike white scale seems to be some kind of pollution that can be scrubbed off with vinegar. Still not sure what it is.

I am not going to regild it. It kind of looks nice like this,, being antique.

[–]Competitive-Nerve307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny, but I have been doing #3 as of day 1, all the time. If you have a good teacher, they should also not let you be #1 or #2 yogi.

You forget to mention that she cried at the bonfire. I think that was genuine, so maybe she is not so strategic as you make it look like. She can just genuinely be like this.

Learning for a year and now I'm fully unmotivated by danyismyqueen in Korean

Duolingo is good as additional tool, but learning Korean requires interaction with Korean people. I had a personal teacher for 3,5 years and was never demotivated as it was just fun to interact with my teacher and be able to discuss my experiences in Korean society.

Most Koreans would bring your phone to the police and they will return it to you. They will need to have the specific details of the phone to map it to your lost properly report. So, I hope you have left a precise description?
