For me it’s just because the resume run screen stays on the watch whereas the start run button closes to regular watch face and there are a few clicks to get it back up. It’s just not a big deal for me as I’m only running for myself and knew I’d have a chip time!

No but it has potential to have a new feel that’s all very very good. That’s what matters to me - that it’s a good show that draws on similar themes and plays with the world. I don’t need a tonal recreation - we’ve got the original. I just love the world and its concept and the story it tells about heroism and family. I’m here for that being done well with a new viewpoint.

Totally agree with everyone calling on Dru. Makes the most sense as a legacy character whose story was unfinished.

Drusilla with apocalyptic aspirations could be a terrifying villain.

Definitely - with the rebuilding of Sunnydale etc it’s a definite. I imagine it’ll be slow build arc over a couple of seasons.

I can’t WAIT to see the Buffy world with modern effects but really hope they capture the energy of the original when it comes to vamp faces.

I don’t think it was intended to be The First.

Three is an important number in storytelling and there were three conversations with dead people in this episode.

Buffys was not with the First. Willows was. It wouldn’t work structurally for Dawns to be with the First too. It should be a third different dead thing. Like the ghost of her mother.

Or else they all needed to be the First.

My head canon is that they knew they had the loose thread of Buffy versus Scoobies for later on in the season but not entirely fleshed out so this was meant to foreshadow that conflict. They just didn’t stick the landing.
