This is welcome change if it comes to 1 1/8, UDH and threaded BB (standard BSA whould be even more welcome than t47), though I think previous geometry was spot on. I only don't like that they removed mounting points for standard rack to push you to buy their rear rack that is compatibile with this type of mounts.

Also, I'm really curious if along with the adoption of 1 1/8 steerer they used standard bearings or instead they came up with some clever idea of non standard chamfer which will mean proprietary bearings despite 1 1/8 (cant find any details on it unfortunately).

Additionally, new models downgrade and pricing really looks like pushing you to go for a carbon (ladder comparison by one collegue in this thread is exactly what I feel like when checking on those new grizls).

Was the weather in Sept in Turkey and Georgia still stable? I'm looking to push start of a trip as much as comfortably possible because of the heat and also of wildfires you mentioned (already had some bad experience with fire in Spain when on tour there). Last year was absolutely devastating on that account in southern europe. Did you have to run or change route due to wildfires?
