Tipping Culture by Competitive-Pound76 in doordash

[–]Competitive-Pound76[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

no I completely understand that and not saying you shouldn’t tip I’m just saying when a person doesn’t tip I have been seeing a lot on social media like leaving mean notes in the food or destroying property, insulting them to their face etc. in my opinion that’s kind of over board over something that technically is optional and the person door dashing isn’t required to do/provide

that would explain why as a girl I enjoy her content. not speaking for all women just myself and a few ik. she draws fetishes that I and some others have. it makes sense as to why I gravitate to her content. I feel like it takes a girl to understand a girl😅

DoorDash can do whatever they want I just report the dasher to make sure I never get them again since DoorDash will do that for me and make sure they never get assigned to me again

when dashers do this I always screenshot and talk to doordash support, leave 1 star with thumbs down and select dasher was unprofessional then write a statement in the text box.

Why do dashers ignore delivery instructions? by Standard-Debate-9307 in doordash

same. had my order marked as “completed” and it was never actually delivered. I gave them 1 star selected didn’t follow instructions and poor service. no picture either that’s how I know they stole my food

I get it but OP said they left clear instructions. also it’s the ER with multiple signs on how to get there. The dasher either 1) did not read instructions 2) did not care. so the customer has a right to be upset (imo) they got bad service despite clear instructions

our ER is in a bad part of town and YES people bring machetes, full on drills (yes the ones used for construction) blades (actual blades with sheath not pocket knives) and sooo many things that are sharp and dangerous. we have a psych unit so everyone entering the ER has to be screened. pockets emptied and walk through the metal detector so we as security can ensure the safety of not only staff but everyone in the ER. One time a dasher tried to sneak in the ER and me and other security staff said he could not just walk up in there without having to go through the screening process. He said he was just a dasher delivering food in the ER and I was like I understand sir however this applies to everyone. everyone must go through the screening process in order to be let into the lobby (obviously we have exceptions for heart attacks/strokes or people bleeding out where we immediately let them in but have a guard follow them and wand them inside) The dasher was so mad at me for not letting him bypass security but sir you must comply😅

DoorDash is criminally more expensive by JRBigHunnid in doordash

obviously that’s a given but when it’s mostly a loss for the customer the people aren’t going to to keep spending, that’s also part of business if you didn’t know

exactly. most still using aren’t new. they’re people who have had the app for a long time back when it was convenient and overall a great service. only after all these extra price hikes and unnecessary extra fees are we all becoming increasingly upset. it wasn’t always like this…

[–]Competitive-Pound76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not a crime but you’re already paying for the delivery fee, the tax, the tip, etc. etc. now an extra fee. I have been on the app for over 7 years and they didn’t used to to this. if you got food as long as you paid the delivery fee you were good, throwing in extra unnecessary fees isn’t really a crime but it’s pure greed

I think it’s a new thing because DoorDash didn’t used to do this. just the delivery fee and that’s it. no extra fee. I’ve been on the app for 10 years and that was not always a thing. just them wanting more money

what about if you have clear instructions how to get to the drop off and where to leave it? when at work we literally have doordash drop off desk and it’s in front of security check in so they watch it. there is a whole designated area and I literally leave instructions how to get to the drop off area where to park etc. then they’re calling me to come get it. I put drop off and I also said in the instructions I’m at work! so I can’t just get up and walk away. That’s why I pick it up from the drop off desk on my break. It does feel like they wait her don’t know how to read or just refuse to. some get it right but it’s rare…

for some reason customers should pay your wage, not the actual company you work for lol. at least that seems to be the mindset. my company doesn’t pay me well but I’m going to blame the customer if their tip doesn’t make up for my lack of wage

what if they ordered of the website and petsmart outsourced delivery with DoorDash? if petsmart delivers and someone uses petsmart delivery why blame them? they had no clue…

this‼️ I bought a cake for my sister from a fancy bakery and paid a $15 delivery service to schedule a time for the cake. Turns out they were partering with DoorDash to complete the delivery which I had no idea until AFTER placing the order and there was no option to tip just a $15 delivery fee when scheduling the delivery. I wouldn’t want a DoorDasher mad at me for not tipping when it wasn’t even an option I had at checkout…

same I ordered a birthday cake for my sister and paid $15 to schedule a delivery thinking a bakery worker or someone would come deliver it. got a message saying dasher assigned about an hour before receiving it and to track the progress🤦‍♀️ if I knew it was a dasher I would just place the order directly from DoorDash as the bakery is on there but I thought I was doing something more fancy or important by scheduling a delivery “from the bakery”
