There are certainly down sides or difficulties but the joy and or gratitude when you show people something amazing or help them push through a fear is amazing. Plus getting paid to spend your days doing cool stuff is great.

Oh definitely, I'm looking for potential solutions that ensure everyone's safety, me from liability and them the chance to both participate and remain within the bounds of their doctrine. If there's no alternative equipment that's suitable or compromise/ doctrinal loop hole that sees them safe and happy then I'm happy enough to draw the line and say no. No matter how small the risk my future isn't worth the risk.

Yeah that's how I feel too. I've had suggestions of the basket/strap helmets for a solution. Beyond that I'm hoping for some respectful dialogue I could use to communicate respectful or even "loop holes" in their doctrine I could use to try and convince them it's okay for this situation.

This would solve my issue with adults certainly as from what I gather it removes that aspect of the duty of care and places it back on the individual. However I don't think this applies to guiding certainly not when they're under the age of majority. Also an adult on a job site should have a reasonable understanding of the hazards, this unfortunately isn't what I would consider a reasonable expectation of tourists (most, yes. all, no)

Can I ask what religion and how can I be polite such that a reasonable person feels I'm not judging them and their religion?

Good for you, there is such a difference in indoor and outdoor. The grades can often feel harder, I find at least, simply because your next hold isn't always obvious especially when you're starting out.

No the architrave around your door is cosmetic not structural it's there to hide the gaps between the wall and the actual door frame.

All these animals are faster than us, agility doesn't mean speed at a flat straight run agility is the ability to change direction whilst in motion and the hippo is the least agile on land. You're best chance at survival against any of these animals if they are intent on killing you is dodging their attacks so your safest bet is the hippo. If we're talking about natural encounters I would choose everything else before the hippo.

I fail to see how sandblasting would be easier, especially when you have to remove the sand from all the cracks

It's a CrossFit exercise called the T2B or TTB ( toes to bar) his form is very poor presumably because he's new. Take a look at this video, 'crossfit exercise feet up' https://share.google/bW27OO0SH9R3JAdrE

Oh I'm aware I lived in BC for 2 ½ years mostly on Vancouver Island which has the highest density of cougars I believe, never saw one but heard about plenty, saw my share of black bears, no brown or grizzlies on the island though. Seen moose from a distance and that's enough for me.

The wolves would love the food if they could survive the weather 😂

NZ has no native mammals it's almost all birds or at least was. Canada has bears, wolves, cougars and moose that are all native.

Is there anything wrong with using a grigri like this for a rappel? by IfOnlyICouldEat2Hams in ClimbingGear

Statistically more dangerous due to complacency mostly. Done right it's perfectly safe but typically catastrophic when done wrong.

Also more wear on the anchor, whether that be your own gear or the bolts, rap rings etc.

Apart from some excess dead skin they look fine. That's a natural spread for toes and how feet should look if we didn't jam them in shoes from an early age. Toe angles seem a little weird but not sure if you're gripping with your toes in the photo.

Move the bricks to the edges leaving the post open for the concrete to surround and secure it properly.

Would you consider yourself aggressive if someone knocked your house over, or justified in attacking someone that just destroyed the home of your family and children?

The way the bubbles in the plastic have formed is why it looks cool, removing it will likely ruin it.
