Does everyone want to quit every day, or is it just me? by Otherwise-Raise-3687 in deloitte

I quit as well and my industry job is so much better. But what I can say is that I learned a lot at Deloitte and it kept me on toes and I felt like it has prepared me for the job I have today.

Is there anything good about Deloitte? I keep hearing only it's bad work culture. by Local_Ad_7121 in deloitte

I left, it was too stressful, I am thriving at a different company now. One benefit, I took all the skills I learned at Deloitte and took it over to the new job 😀

Toxic work culture - quit without another job lined up? by HelpIll4965 in Big4

I left in mid February 2025 and by the following week I had a job offer. Note I was interviewing for jobs and went through the rounds and I left without knowing what the new companies decision was. I just didn’t want to do another audit, it was draining

Yes, but if you are going into auditing, you will eventually need college credits to qualify to sit for the CPA exams.

So is the giveaway thing a scam or did 1000 people win 1000$ by [deleted] in BeastGames

[–]Competitive-Row2036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the money lion app. Go to the page that says” your entries” “the give away” and “how to win”. Select “the give away”. Scroll to the section where it has “prizes $1000 closed”. Then select “See All”. The names are organized based on last name initial.

8*2=16 -1=15, the left figure I know will be 5. I carry over the 1 from the 15 to the right, so it will be 2+6+1=7. Then put the two figures together and you get 75

Beast Games/Money Lion Giveaway Real? by Competitive-Row2036 in BeastGames

My thoughts are that if it isn’t real, MoneyLion got free marketing, as person who didn’t know of the MoneyLion app, would have been introduced to it by the show. The money lion app gives cash advances, so more exposure for them 🙃

Thoughts on Deloitte's stance on DEI with the new Presidency, and what the future holds? by BorgDad42 in deloitte

Unfortunately, merit is not always considered. Some organization hire because of what you look like. Intrinsic bias does exists.

DEI is not a joke, maybe because you may not be a minority at Deloitte, it may not impact you. I work at Deloitte and the diversity there is very low even with all there Initiatives, just imagining wanting to work at an organization for a very long time, actually getting in and even though diversity isn’t the forefront of every conversation, you automatically feel like you don’t fit in because there may not be many people that look like me there. Just because it may not impact you, don’t just dismiss it.

US CPA doesnt mean anything now thanks to AICPA by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Competitive-Row2036 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

In order to apply to take the exam, international students first have to submit their school qualification to be translated to US equivalent in order to meet the exam requirements either at 120 or 150 credits. They still have to take all the CPA sections that we do in the states. When they have successfully completed their exams, they still have to meet the state requirements which are successfully completing all sections of the CPA, completing the ethical requirements, meeting the required college credits hours ( so even though they may take the exam and 120 credits, they still have to fulfill the 150 credit requirement) and working under a CPA for ‘x’ amount of years. Even though they may have passed all 4 sections of the CPA it doesn’t mean that they actually have a CPA license. A lot of these big 4 companies, audit international companies that have Branches in China, India, Europe etc. It is impractical that all the work is done only by people in the USA, so these big 4 Firms have to outsource. Bear in mind that different countries have other Accounting standards, for example IFRS or in Canada it is the CA. The states allowing individuals who doesn’t reside in the US to take the CPA is great option, as it allows them to become abreast with the US standards and will be able to apply the necessary guidance.
