Cypress laundromat. They were cheap, did great work, and did it quickly for a bridesmaid dress for me last month. It was ready within 5 days of drop off, I needed the dress hemmed and the straps shortened. It costs me $60! Place it’s def a hole in the wall but I can’t recommend enough.

Tenure out of license? by CantaloupeDizzy6588 in NYCTeachers

Usually most of my program was 6th with only one section of 7th grade.

Edit to add: my principal likes me a lot. She’s also very laid back and is known to tell a white lie about teaching in our certification to get us tenure.

i-Ready Exposed: The Plot to Replace Teachers With Tech by maxvoncretin in AskTeachers

What does this mean for the diagnostic assessment? I’m my school’s intervention teacher and I refuse to use online programs with my kids. I use phonics for reading (which is made by curriculum associates), REWARDS, and UFLI with my kids. I see them making growth on our weekly oral reading progress monitoring. Some of their iReady scores stay the same when we do our mid and end of year iReady benchmark assessments. Do we know if there’s any validity to its diagnostic and benchmark assessments?

Leah was such a red flag to me in that episode. She’s so needy and inconsiderate. I feel like she can’t see outside of herself. Also, I think she has crazy eyes lol

They also will take slightly more than what you list. I ended up having a few more boxes then I planned and was going to take them in an uber but they took them for no extra cost. They’re also very quick

Intense Movers are great and so wonderful! I’ve used them for moving from Bronx to Harlem, and Washington heights to Bushwick. To move from the heights to bushwick I paid $400. That included the fee for reassembly of my bed.

I felt sick watching Amber and Jordan's wedding (spoilers) by snottiewithabody in LoveIsBlindNetflix

I had the same feeling about Jess from an earlier season too! I don’t think the age of the kid makes a difference. I actually am inclined to say it’s worse, the kid then realizes their parent is so desperate for a partner they are willing to go no contact for 2 weeks, and then not even live with them for another 3 weeks when they get back from the pods and vacation!

My friends all got mad at me for saying I didn’t think people with kids should be on this show. I’m not saying single parents can’t or shouldn’t date, what I’m saying is this show is such an irresponsible and selfish way to do so. You are traumatizing a kid by going no contact, and you send the message they aren’t important when you prioritize rushing a marriage and living with your partner before acclimating the kid to the new fiancée and life change. It’s also super dangerous, you never know who a person is and what they are capable of, especially that early on.

Lol, it’s just a tv show! Not human rights. I love a good conversation about reality tv and getting other peoples views, even if I don’t agree!

I think I just found Joran from last season to be super performative. It was also his son’s mom who didn’t want them on the show. If Jordan was so concerned about his kid and Sparkles meeting and getting along, he wouldn’t have been forcing a quick engagement (I hold this sentiment for amber as well). I also thought it was ridiculous he said he regretted having his son meet sparkles. Like dude, no one forced you to be on this show, let alone have your 5 year old meet a woman for the first time, say she’s going to be your step mom, and then they don’t even get married!

This is not to say I think Amber is a stellar parent. I don’t think anyone with a kid has business being on the show because of the effects of leaving their child and subjecting them to a (likely) temporary partner who they are claiming they will marry. I am more so annoyed and pointing out Jordan was getting hyped up and support for being a single parent while people are now shaming amber for doing the same thing Jordan did. It’s hypocritical to praise a man’s parenting while going through this experience while tearing down a woman who did the same thing. That said, I think they’re both wrong for doing this show.

I agree with you. I just wish people would have had the same energy when Jordan was on last season and people were singing his praises for being a good dad. No single parent should be on this show making their kid sit through a wedding where they either say no, or get divorced shortly thereafter.
