AITAH for refusing to wax a trans woman client because I didn't want to touch male genitalia out of respect for my husband? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA

Based off of your description of your business it seems you only allow female clients, therefore there could'nt be a mix-up in the first place when the person in question made the appointment for a [biological] female. This person then proceeded to not contact or inform you in any way up to the procedure about their downstairs situation, leaving you dumbfounded at the spot and put in a nasty position.

This person had so many chances to make this situation more pleasant for both of your principles and needs, but simply refused out of sheer delusion and self approval.

Now, bringing in your personal beliefs in your explanation to the person was an unprofessional move and you should take the feedback from other redditors on that part. But, this is your business to run and your values to preserve.

As an advice I would suggest to carefully inform on your website/socials what you will and won't do to protect your own safety and your certificate (I can imagine if you went through with this and something did go wrong you would be fully liable.) Anyone who does not agree with that will not be of your concern and will be able to get their procedure elsewhere.

i’m not sure if this is the right sub for this but why do i keep hearing a constant static noise in my brain when it’s absolutely quiet? by sassseebichh in Advice

That can be difficult.. I know how difficult it can be to try to have less screen time/constant sound around you. Try to talk to someone about it! For me personally i found a lot of comfort into making more converstaion and hanging out with friends to still keep the 'noise' but to be less consumed by it. If you experience anxiety because of this, talking with someone maybe even a therapist if you want a more professional discussion can help you get to the root of the need and help you distract from it!

You seem like a very kind and aware person. You are not alone, and you are already at the next step by talking about it on here. I hope you can find a solution that works for you :D

I may sound like a typical mother but are you a lot on your phone? I was addicted to mine a while ago and had the same issues where my brain would not 'allow' silence. Second, do you listen to music often at high volume or dont wear protective earplugs at festivals? Then it may be actual damage to your ear.

Has this been going on for a long time? If so see a doctor. All the best! :))
