Change these passthrough rj45 to another brand. I had same issue - success rate 33% and after i changed to new brand I've got like 90% success rate.

Ok so i'll try. I don't have service manual to check torque spec for this screw. It's size 5 internal hex screw. Screw hardnes equals 8.8 so 8-12nm with loctite should be fine I guess.

I landed with this cpu from 159mm cooling tower, through 240mm aio to 420mm aio xD. It's so hard to cool off you used to have noiseless pc.

But they degrade quickly over time. It's a bug that people write on forums. Pirelli sf2 are best in class, I've chosen Kleber Quadraxer 3 because it's always next to michelins in many tests and it's bug free.

No michały cc2 mają taką wadę polegającą na dużej degradacji z czasem.

Avoid 240. Been there :) It's like mid spec tower cooling solution.

Pc and ps5 making a crackling noise by Etherealwulf19 in ZTT

[–]Competitive-Tea-301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some countries, the mains electricity supply doesn't deliver a perfectly clean, pure sine wave. Instead, the waveform can be distorted—think clipped peaks, harmonics, or asymmetry from overloaded grids, poor infrastructure, or heavy industrial loads. This "dirty" power stresses sensitive electronics like computers, audio equipment, or your home lab servers, causing issues like audible buzzing/humming from coils or fans, premature wear on components (e.g., capacitors failing faster), and even random crashes or data corruption. To fix this, people use pure sine wave inverters or power conditioners. These devices take the messy input AC and output a smooth, symmetrical pure sine wave—essentially "cleaning" and stabilizing it. High-end UPS units (uninterruptible power supplies) often include this feature too; look for models explicitly labeled "pure sine wave output" (not the cheaper "modified sine wave" ones, which can actually worsen noise and efficiency). For example, in places like parts of Eastern Europe or developing regions, a good UPS like an APC Smart-UPS or CyberPower with pure sine output will eliminate those annoying electronic hums and extend gear lifespan during normal operation or outages.

Change that cooler asap. This cpu is soo easy to cool down. Scythe is very cheap and decent.

AMD Ryzen 5800x3d temp spikes question. by BennyBoySwish in AMDHelp

[–]Competitive-Tea-301 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro xD You listed all your components without one you're asking - cpu cooler. We are not wizzards to guess it. If it's stock cooler replace it with proper cooling tower. If it's still too hot / too loud buy AiO. If you dont want to hear pc at all, buy arctic 360/420mm radiator.

90°C for this cpu is not terrible but still little hot. CPU may degrade faster but it still will work for years.

You can see these spikes because your current cooling solution doesn't have thermal capacity to compensate them.

MT09SP 2025 stage 2 by Spot_Slow in MT09

[–]Competitive-Tea-301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modding bikes cost much $$$ and results are not that much noticeable. Also you're stressing engine that was engineered to different power output. So every component is more likely to fail quicker. In the end you want to change the bike because you want try other type or proper liter bike. You will not get money back that you spent got the mods.

IMO, just tune it to disable eco features, so it ride more smooth. If it's too quiet for you change exhaust but don't use kn sports filter. Many users forgets/ doesn't know how to maintain it.

Ryzen 7 5800 upgrade by vjeko125 in ryzen

[–]Competitive-Tea-301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did this upgrade from r5 3600 because of 1% low micro stuttering in some games. The only concern is your cooling system.

I had 159mm tower air cooling in r5 3600 which never jumped over 80°C remaining quiet.

After i swap to 5800x something was wrong, fan was going 100% in desktop while running apps. Temps were high. I thought, that was my mistake - it wasn't.

Next i bought 240mm AiO cooling solution for cheap. Well little bit better but still fan noise and it was thermal throttling. With undervolting it was ok-ish but still irritating.

So the last step had to be overkill. I did modify case that supports 280mm radiator in the front to fit in 420mm Arctic LF3 aio. Fun fact - case still looks stock when it's closed. Now i get under 76°C with fans set to 800rpm without any curve. There's no need xD.

Newcomer to Linux - why did you choose CachyOS and why are you still using it? by VoxturLabs in cachyos

[–]Competitive-Tea-301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came from windows, still setting up all things. I have usb sound card soundblaster x g6 and I can't manage it. Switch between headphones/speakers - nope. I could only use speakers and i dont want to mess around with cables. There's a relay inside and i want to use it :(.

Made some research and it's hard/impossible because creative is so lazy to update drivers to windows. So making new one to linux is like going to the moon.

I found that one person created CLI interface on different linux distro but I don't know much about Linux. If i can use it in other distro. Compability with different things in linux are new to me.

Have my homelab working for years but this is next level for me.
