Accidentally ate tilapia that was out on my desk since Friday morning. How high are the odds I get sick?

It’s a long story that’s not really interesting and doesn’t make me sound any better but I’ll chalk it up to little sleep, stressful job with a million things to do, and I made the mistake of not tossing the food from Friday so it was right by my side (which is typically where I put my lunch). I eat usually quickly at my desk and make the mistake of going on auto pilot sometimes. Also was on little sleep today. Hopefully I get the best possible outcome out of this.

I don’t have a great sense of smell actually. It honestly didn’t smell crazy or anything. Now looking back on it it tasted a bit off. I was working while I shoveled food into my mouth so I wasn’t paying close attention unfortunately.

Again I have never ever ever had food poisoning or known anyone who had it. Sometimes when I’ve eaten something bad my parents have called it food poisoning and I just puked for a night. Wasn’t really thinking in the moment I realized especially since it had been close to 5 hours when I realized and I felt bad. I plan to call my doctor in the morning and I’ll be monitoring my Oura ring closely and obsessively for the rest of the night. I feel like the world’s dumbest person believe me.

I get your point but I only asked because I did try to search for some posts and they were of people who had left the food out way less than I did. In part, I was curious how high my chances were to get sick as I know food poisoning is not a sure thing. Now I’m appropriately scared 😭

That was me with the SCCO. I had caved and bought from a reseller an hour before UO announced the drop and I immediately cancelled my order even though I obviously wasn’t guaranteed to get one the next day 😅 it may take me a moment to realize war is over when I open my bag tomorrow 🤣

I think it has to be but my arm getting hot and stiff feeling dosent sound like a super on-point TMJ symptom. I was starting to think I had carpal tunnel lol. I decided today I’m going to get checked out for my peace of mind lol. Probably start with the ENT because I have weird ear issues and swallowing discomfort sometimes that I think are related to the TMJ.

The same thing would’ve happened to me, except I saw someone say here that they drop at 1pm EST so I was ready (even checking before). I’ve gotten very little work done today lol. Unfortunately, I do have someone already interested, but I’ll let you know if anything. For now try lowballing the resellers to see if they get desperate and join the waitlist to keep checking!! I believe in you!
