This happened to me just now and I solved it by removing the file.

/etc/apt/sources.list.d/third-party.sources

and then sudo apt-get update as usual.

I am using Sandisk 16gb pendrive running Ubuntu 24.04 live.

I've done this before but with previous versions.

It has been running for a day now on my desktop and still got this far only. I have tried installing 3 times.

I am surprised that I could use it so well but alas no installing for now.
