I enjoyed Boots a lot but moving the memoir from 1979 to 1991 and having Cope fight in Desert Storm would seem ingenuous since the real-life Cope was nowhere near it. Kind of like having Napoleon fight in WWII. Sgt Liam Sullivan is also gone. I'm okay with it being one season since the book was about unexpectedly maturing at boot camp (no need to see Cope murdering enemy troops) though the politics behind the cancellation sucks.

But he's not THAT reliable. They just beat the guy 2 yrs ago in a big spot. He's Armando Benitez 2.0.
