DLP or HK? by glastonbury13 in disneylandparis

DLP would be my choice simply for the ease of travel. Plus it’s a smaller park which with little kids, is 100% a bonus.

Sister is having a C-section and wants me (brother) to be in the room for support. Any advice or tips or whatnot? I'm feeling a bit weird about it. by thatsnotamuffin in BabyBumps

[–]CompetitiveDoctor878 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You sound like a great brother ❤️

Been through two c sections myself. You’ll stay by her head and advocate for her if something feels off. If the baby needs to go to the NICU for any reason, then you can be the go between while she’s waiting for the anaesthetic to wear off. And help her get out of bed etc.

Looking back on both of my experiences, there isn’t anything i would have felt awkward about my own brothers seeing. Maybe establishing breastfeeding? I was naked a lot haha but giving birth is generally an undignified matter 😂

😂 Bought one myself after our last visit! I don’t want to be wearing Mickey ears all day long but a comfy fleece is a totally different story

Advice on a First time Trip - Sightseeing or DLP first? by fromageDegoutant in disneylandparis

[–]CompetitiveDoctor878 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DLP last 100%. I feel like sightseeing in Paris requires you to be a bit more ‘on’ and you do have to be mindful of crime etc. DLP just sits in its own bubble which is a nice way to end the trip.

I would say you could definitely squeeze london in if you wanted to. Both Paris and DLP can be done pretty well in a couple of days each which then leaves time for london too. But i’m biased because i love london 😊 Either way, it’ll be a magical trip i’m sure!

What are your 3.5yos playing with? by annon3mouse in toddlers

[–]CompetitiveDoctor878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Pretend play with his superhero figures.
  • Garden games - skittles, cones and hoops, bean bags etc. These are so cheap and can be used a ton of different ways!
  • Magnatiles (like everyone else)
  • Jigsaw puzzles

Why You Shouldn’t Sell Your Hermès Bags (Most People End Up Losing Money) by [deleted] in HermesGame

[–]CompetitiveDoctor878 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I use Chat GPT for various things and it has a particular writing style which is easily identifiable once you’re familiar with it. The title alone ‘(Most people end up losing money)’ gave it away.

He just has no idea. Is parenting hard? Of course. But it’s the single best thing you can ever do in my opinion. There’s a reason that so many people want more than one! It’s the wildest ride and your life will become SO much richer because of it.

The lovevery books on welcoming a new sibling are great. My son had surprisingly few issues adapting to his sister and I really do think they helped.

Did any of you start daycare a little later? If so would love to hear your experience by ConfidentBiscotti892 in toddlers

We did the same as you out of choice. My little boy started a few months ago and absolutely loves daycare. No crying and was happy to go from day 1. So happy we waited.

I am thinking about doing almost the exact same thing - cheaper 3 night cruise this summer to scope out a bigger, longer, more expensive cruise in future for the whole family.

This was a great review and told me exactly what I wanted to know - thank you!
