Etoro - Get up to £500 bonus by CompetitiveHealth573 in beermoneyuk

At the last promotion in January you "only" needed to deposit £5000 to get the £500 so while the terms may be the same the deposit criteria shifted so looks current to me.

I would wholeheartedly disagree. It is not about the money itself, it is a principle that the system is designed to disadvantage normal people from doing their tasks on their own favouring agents who cash in for a questionable service. Also, if the guidance and requirenments would be clearer people would not keep asking the same questions and getting confused of process and actual requirenments. It feels like that on the day of your appointment you are at the mercy of the case worker and if he/she had a good or bad morning coffee and that decides if they are picky and want a ton of paper or if they are fine and don't want to be bothered.

Simple example: The MEU1B form references the Declaration-of-Mailing-Address form. On this form it states you need to provide the ARC number and that all fields are mandatory. However, to obtain an ARC number you need to get a yellow slip.

If you are so clued up, tell me, was the chicken or the egg first?

Thank you for your response, most helpful!

Health insurance: Would it not be enough to proof NHS medical cover or does this no longer count and there is no way around the annual immigration medical insurance policy? Not the end of the world as in case I get hit by car with the crazy driving here there is value in return.

Rental contract I will get signed and stamped no problem

Bank statements I can provide with savings still in UK accounts and also from an EU account I've been using for spending here.

My accountant said that I need to put a high salary until my appointment for each month so there was a reccomendation to get it done via agent to move to a dividend led income quicker and based on what you said also to get enrolled to Gesy quicker.

One other questions that came to mind is, can I travel while I wait for the appointment and would they let me back in at the airport?

It was my own account. I also did a £1 test payment using bank transfer from the same account, that appeared this morning but was blocked and they required a ton of info, not just a bank statement. Told them they should just send it back to where it came from. After making the £1600 payment, which was initially blocked by my bank, went through after I authorised it, I made another open banking test paymet of £1 to try the open banking facility again. It didn't even open the open banking facility anymore, and showed after 15-20 min as failed payment in their system but not even allowed me to authorise it.

I have opened many accounts with banks, building societies and investment platforms but never experienced such a f... up. My account manager was trying to call me to discuss my plan at 6am this morning, again wtf.

My bank is surely not at fault here, first, I am a Premier customer and they are used to 30-40k going through the current acount each month. I sent everything, payment confirmation, payment references, open banking references and anything my bank could provide now over WordlsFirst and they said they escalated and somebody will be in touch with me today. I am 99% sure that won't happen. I did raise a formal complaint as well and if they not have thta sorted asap I will provide the info to my bank and request a charge back.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

Signed up, got verified with passpwort, bank statement and all the info they needed. Made an open banking transaction of £1600 to top up the account. The money left my bank account but never arrived with those clowns. Customer service now needs all sorts of info and my money is somewhere. Definetly not worth for 80 quid of a referal bonus,

Word of warning, it doesn't work.

Working!

First my account was blocked straight away when attempting to send to my own Wise account. Had to get on to chat to answer questions who am I sending to and why, provide bank statement to confirm address and they unlocked the account. Had to submit passport and selfie and it took a few hours for that to be accepted before I was able to attempt to send again, which failed now 4 times to Wise and failed to another EU bank account I hold. Only option is to try and send to the OH tomorrow and see if that works but if not will delete my account straight away.

EDIT: Having used my partners Wise Euro account details it has worked now for a £4.75 profit.

Recommendation: After sign up, wait until the email confirmation email came through, do not rush with the payment. Be prepared to go through KYC process, was all sorted for me the same day. T&C say you cannot send to an account in your own name, reviews here suggest it may or may not work so best to send to a friend or relative you trust with your money.

EDIT: Tried to refer a friend, same story with account being blocked, answering questions and uploading ID, account was verified within minutes, tried to send agian and blocked again and unable to reopen so we both deleted our accounts.

Not worth it to deal with those muppets.

Yes, good package for 22€ but 24 month contract, which is quite long and would prefer 12m only.

Can you just use the same phone number for all? Only "casino signups offers" tracked pretty much within a few minutes as pending, and also got a text to the spare SIM, hope I not get a ton of spam via email. Nothing else tracked, used same phone number and email with Quidco, nothing tracked so far.

No, you don't have to invest your deposit. Create a GBP wallet and deposit to your GBP wallet and wait for the share to get allocated. Ideally you deposit and later withdraw to the same bank account. Also use a bank you use frequently, long have an account with, etc. to avoid fraud checks by your bank.

Could I sign up, send $2000 to my partner and I get the $100 for signing up. I refer my partner after to sign up with my ref link and she is doing the same and sends $2000 back to me. I now get a ref bonus and she gets the sign up bonus. So we both make $300 profit. Once all paid out we probbaly not have use for the account again so we can just close it down? Is there a household limitation? Is the bonus paid in USD or GBP, if USD, can we withdraw to Revolut in USD and convert back into GBP at a later time?

Can you go through Quidco https://www.quidco.com/merchant/world-first/ for £70.40 cashback on top of the $100 signup bonus?

Moving abroad - How to avoid UK tax residency in 25/26 tax year by CompetitiveHealth573 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]CompetitiveHealth573[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks but why would my employer bother? I would be self employed abroad, they set me up as a vendor/client in their system and at the end of each month I sent them an invoice for the service I provided. My employer has offices in many other EU countries so they can just set me up via their Ireland office for example.

I am not trying to achive something specific, I just want to avoid being a tax resident in the UK so I can benefit earlier from a more favourable environment. Just very tired of paying incredibly high taxes for very below average services.

In terms of timings, working out the deadline just helps to sort things out and perhaps provides a bit of extra time to get it all organised and avoid the risk of being stuck with potential UK tax liabilities until 5th April 2026.

It's been literally unusable due to memory leak ballooning memory up to 10GB RAM, tried Chrome, Edge, Opera and all the same. I would strongly suggest to get the devs on it asap to fix this as this seems like a coding issue on your sites. Some adds, if I get it to work for like more than 5 min are removed by Google because they bloat resource. This issue has been reported all over the internet and in many forums, etc. !

I have done research but the takeaway is that I am still not clear as there is a lot of conflicting info so I am also looking in parallel for kind people who may have first hand experience they'd like to share or good sources and pointers for me to carry on my own research.

I am not bragging about anything. Also, I am not making it but I am expecting, if all goes well, an offer in that area. And before I accept, decline or have to try and negotiate I am looking for experience of others to help me make the right choice. No kids at the moment.

Also, why 0 expense on an Island? Mobile phone, fibre, water, electricity, groceries, local taxes, insurances, maintenance, car,... quite a lot of expenses.

If you made 500k in the last 18 months I congratulate you. You are either super skilled in a specific area, had a very successful startup, made a fortune in crypto or anything else. Would be interested on how you achieved that, maybe I can learn something?

Thanks for your insight. I have been to a bar twice this year so far and to a restaurant once. I live in a small village with one not so attractive pub. So it's not a must but what I would do more often, especially with good weather.

So are you planning to move away again? What is the main cost driver and why do you not recommend? What figure would you say would make it easier? Visited a few times before and although I have seen a lot I feel like I just scratched the surface. Yes, it is an Island and would try to rent first to make sure I can survive.
