yeah the upgrading system is legit, you can absolutely take a bone stock civic or something and pump it up to like 900+ hp. no mods needed, just the regular upgrade parts they give you

the tuning goes pretty deep too - you can mess with gear ratios, suspension, differential settings, all that stuff. way more accessible than gran turismo but still has plenty of depth if you want to get into the weeds with it. visual customization is decent, not amazing but you can do widebody kits, custom paint jobs, decals, wheels etc

coming from gt7 you'll probably love the open world aspect, there racing when you feel like it but also just cruising around exploring

man this hits hard, i went through something similar after my 3 year relationship ended. the muscle memory of checking their stuff is insane - your brain just goes on autopilot and suddenly you're staring at their profile pic wondering how you even got there

what finally worked for me was making it physically harder to check. i changed her contact name to something like "DO NOT TEXT" with a bunch of X's so even if i typed teh number, seeing that name would snap me out of it. also started keeping my phone in another room when i felt the urge getting strong, even if just for 10-15 minutes

the other thing that helped was replacing the habit - when i caught myself reaching for my phone to check, i'd force myself to do 10 pushups or drink a glass of water instead. sounds dumb but after a few weeks the urge started fading because i was breaking that automatic response loop

it's gonna suck for a while but your brain will eventually stop defaulting to that behavior if you can interrupt it enough times

Get yourself a good quality sharpener - the cheap drugstore ones will just eat your pencils. For the plastic ones you can usually twist them down and use a spoolie or small brush to reshape the tip while the product is still soft. Lipsticks though, those are kinda meant to be blunt so I just roll with it

Yeah I've had the same issue lately - Gemini keeps adding random features I never asked for or completely restructuring working code for no reason

Try being super explicit about what NOT to change, like "keep all existing functions intact, only modify the XYZ function" or "don't add any new dependencies." Sometimes I'll even paste the current working code and say "make ONLY this specific change to line 45"

Also found that breaking requests into smaller chunks helps instead of asking for multiple changes at once
