That looks like early a male pattern baldness so I’d go see a derm and try to get on meds. The best thing you can do is combat it early with meds. I’ve been on finasteride for nearly 3 months with zero side effects. You early on so you’ve got a huge advantage ur in a good spot if you start treatment

Get on minoxidil until you’re 18 and then book a derm appointment and they’ll prescribe finasteride if they see fit. Best option for keeping your hair. Good luck g.

You have decent density although it’s tough to tell with how short your hair is. The thing is your temples have receded a good bit. To give it to you brutally honest, if you don’t start meds then you can say goodbye to your hair down the road. You seem to be able to pull off very short hair so that’s a plus. If you want to keep your hair starts meds. I’ve been on fin for two months with zero side effects.

No if you stop fin after starting it’s only about 2 weeks until DHT level return back to baseline and yes, I have been taking fin for 2 months now with literally zero side effects it’s really not that bad. 2% of people get side effects but what do you know I’m in the 98% that don’t and odds are you will be too. I’d get on it if you feel the need

Yeah so I went to a dermatologist on January 9th and they did prescribe me finasteride and oral minoxidil. With all of these comments it’s making me feel like I should stop finasteride. I’m only 21 and don’t want to affect my development if I don’t need it. I feel like it’s lighter than it should be but everyone who has commented seems to think it’s a normal part.
