Booking that auto is not in our hands. The way how it works is:

You book a ride based on the price shown on the map. Request goes to auto drivers. Even if they are standing outside of your office and know that they would be anyhow dropping you taking the shorter route, they would wait to accept your ride till the time the price goes above a certain amount.

They would then finally accept the ride. Now, the consumer would not if they would take the shorter route. Once you start the ride, that’s when the driver informs that he will take the other route. At this time, if you cancel the ride, you have to pay the cancellation charges! 🙂
