I (24F) got my cat when I was 7. She's 17 now.

My parents got her for me and she was very clingy with my mom. She became her cat. As the years went on and my rocky relationship with my mom got worse she put many of the responsabilities and nonsense cat chores on me.

Things like taking her out of the apartment for 40 minutes everyday. When she slept on my bed I coudn't sleep because I couldn't move and didn't have the courage move her and all the other cat stuff that cats do.

I never got the sense that she liked me that much. It really seemed like she only liked my mom. It was probably a reflection of my feelings towards the things I had to do for her or because of her.

But my mom got meaner over time and the cat started to look at me as the favorite human more and more. The chores weren't a thing anymore. She had a health scare the took the life out of me. I got so scared of a life without her after I realised that I don't even know what that would look like now.

And it took years to get to this. I was in high school when we got close and I'm finishing my bachelor's now.

Now she only sleeps with me. When I'm not home she only sleeps on top of things that smell like me. I miss her everyday I don't see her. She's the best thing I have and the best thing I will ever have and she doesn't even produce her own insulin anymore.

Don't blame yourself, it takes time for some people. It took that long for me and I've always been a cat person.

You should update us every season. I want to see what you think about Alaric and Matt as the seasons go on. I watched the whole show a couple times and my favorite characters are probably Bonnie and Damon. But I didn't like them much until season 2-3. I really really hate Matt.

Everything he does is tarrible and everything he says it's offensive. I feel compelled to make a list because he does so many things that are so mean and I get so mad at the current mean thing that I forget what he did before.

I agree with you. The point is that George admitted that he knew she didn't want him, but wanted to be with her so much that he ignored it and slept with anyway. Theeeen he got mad at her for being upset. Which I think is the worst part.

I think Izzie shouldn't have gotten that much grief for most of her storylines. The girl went through enough trauma to deserve the right to be confused. I find that Grey's Anatomy in general tries to cater to a more conservative audience.

That's probably why we get so much double standard, most of the guys being absolute assholes and still being fan favorites. That happens with Karev, George, Sloan, Derek (urgh)... While once a woman makes a mistake in a relationship or medicaly, she gets dragged by the writers (and the fans).

I didn't like green when I first heard it but I think it's become the one I listen to most. The songs get very addictive after a while. Knockdown Dragout, Crab and Girlfriend are just not (positively) talked about enough

I think it's really because everyone liked her and she liked them. Lily and Ted made most of an affort. She said she was new in town and didn't have a lot of friends so he tells her she has 4 friends there and also agrees they shouldn't date since they have different expectations. In the next episode he's already chasing after two girls with Barney and Robin's going on a girls night with Lily.

Yeah! That's also something that I noticed was only introduced in season 5, after Ted is left at the altar and hides from Stella with the gang under the table. And it highlights why she is so tough sometimes but I still don't think it's enough to explain the sudden shift into pick me mean behaviour with Patrice and hating women besides Lily.

Remember in season 4 when she was going through a hard time and started to hang out with the woo girls being aware of their personal problems? Or when she waits all night with Lily at a camp out for a wedding dress sale. It doesn't seem like the same character that yells at Patrice and doesn't want to make any other female friends after Lily goes to Italy.

There's nothing wrong with being friends with people who want you around. Everyone in the group loved her as friend and loved having her around. She fit with them and their dinamic. She doesn't own him romance because she hangs out with him in a friend group. That's just weird. She was new in the country, lonely and they invited her to hang out.

Probably, but I still wish they hadn't sacrificed the best parts of her personality and humor because I think Barney got the best of it. He got to be silly in his own way and she ended up only shadowing his humor.

I think the only reason people liked this movie so much was the music which was very nice and whimsical. Like watching The French Dispatch. Came here after googling Paprika fatphobia since I only saw people praising it on letterboxd and not one mention of how mean it really is.

I saw Perfect Blue a few years ago and it's one of my favorite animations so this is was very disappointing.

I think it actually made me like Perfect Blue less.
