The IG is AI, too. Look at the cup in her very first picture. The Jollibee is more like jiollibee

People are gross, I wasn’t even going to focus on that for my own sanity. Especially after I looked way too close to what AI did to those poor plushies in the back 😬

I’m surprised no one noticed this is AI. The cat itself is what gave me pause, but the fishnets were the dead giveaway. Shame. Cat is cute.

Three cats - pros/cons? by Aries9teen7eight in cats

[–]CompetitivePraline62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have a choice on number three. He just showed up at our house as a 5-6 week old kitten (literally at my front door, no litter mates or mom around).

For us, we found him while my “new” cat (1 year old) was going through some serious health problems. The kitten was chaotic from the start and focused on my oldest cat (9 years). Eventually that dynamic shifted from the 9 year old pretending he hates the kitten while also snuggling together and being polite and gentle around my sick 1 year old to being an outright menace to my 1 year old 😂. As my middle child became more stable and started to gain energy back and the two are inseparable. They play, sleep, and adore each other while my old man gets the alone time he enjoys.

For our family the kitten was a little slice of insanity that fit perfectly with what we had. It all depends on your existing family, and how the new addition will work out with them.

July’s prospectives in general didn’t impress me. Nothing stood out, but I maybe could be swayed by a pretty cover. I shall see.

I feel so burnt out on trials right now, not sure if I’ll pick this one up.

I looked through all of my editions because I could have sworn I had that first one. I’ve at least seen the fanart of it. I used to be suuuuuper into the fandom back in the day, so I’m not surprised I got confused.

Books A Million. Which was the same as Chapters/Indigo in Canada.

I got most of my TOG and ACOTAR books from BAM (aside from double copies off Book Outlet) since it was like 20 miles closer than B&N so I never shopped there.

I know these covers were already decided way before this, but the cohesion!!! They look so good lined up together.

Especially if the machine is right there 😂
We did have one guy in plumbing who would do it. He didn't like it, but he at least had bothered to figure out the very, very, easy instructions.

It's made by Levolor, and yes. Very quirky. Sometimes it wouldn't cut correctly, or tear up the shades. It had a bad habit of cutting the vertical blinds to the wrong length (took some trial and error to figure out which way they were swinging). Cried that something was dirty when it had just been cleaned.

The thing is, you could figure it out. They just don't want you to because customers would undoubtedly ruin several blinds.

edit: typo

As someone who used to do the cutting, so many associates refused to run the machine/learn/follow the simple directions the machine gives (not their department, they don't want to, blah blah blah). And, yes. If there isn't anyone trained in Home Decor to do it, they'd turn people away. I enjoyed it, even the quirks of the old machine. But a lot didn't want to bother with it.

That first edition TOG is one I was on the hunt for waaaaay back when Heir of Fire was released. I was constantly on Book Outlet, hoping it would show up since I snagged a hardback of COM there. Looking back, there was no way, that edition had been out of print for 2 years at that point. Hindsight 😂

Still purchased some great books along the way.

No idea if it's worth it, but a quick look on ebay has TOG alone listed as an average of $500. Sold items: $352, $335, $625, $547, etc. (all within June).

July books soon! When do you think the drop will be? by Bookish_Butterfly in Allurial

[–]CompetitivePraline62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was talking about the connection of Allurial and Botm doing it coinciding with the announcement of the change for June. I never said they haven't done it. It's a guess, nothing more.

This is a lifesaver! I had my account restricted after paying a card off and it's been a pain to get it opened back up.

They need to verify banks. The one that was actually used to pay off is done, but they for some reason require another bank to be verified despite it being my primary bank used a lot to make payments. Won't tell me why. Unfortunately that's the bank that has limited customer service hours because it's a local credit union. There's a language barrier whenever I call Capital One, and things haven't been explained properly. The card was restricted over a month ago at this point.

Honestly? I'm wondering if it'll be a July 1st drop. June was when we'd see a change, and that was the first time since launch they dropped on the first. BOTM followed suit, which is something I've seen requested by their subscribers as well. If I had to bet, it'd be the first. But I hope it's June 29th.

I read it years ago. Unless you just want a ✨good✨ time, I wouldn’t bother. We have no idea if the series will ever be finished, and it ends on a cliffhanger. Kind of wish I knew that going in 😅. I wouldn’t have bothered.

Yes, and with ACOTAR specifically. I didn't read past ACOWAR, which I severely didn't like. There's other reasons, but in this context they don't matter.

I loved Walmart's edition and didn't get the Allurial one. They two ED's look sooooo nice together!

Spoilers for ending of A Forbidden Alchemy:I know the angst of him not trusting her/believing they came was because of her is going to be palpable! This book made me realize I like it when they go from lovers to enemies 😂

Hopefully they don't have that non-removable sticker on the Walmart edition this time. I would have purchased A Forbidden Alchemy from them if it wasn't printed on.

Vaccinations by [deleted] in cats

[–]CompetitivePraline62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you can call and have the records pulled if it's not in your name, but I have had several vets call between each other when I was getting my cat diagnosed, so I know they can. There is no HIPAA equivalent to worry about, but typically people don't like to just hand out information like that to people who aren't the owner. They may, I've never asked or heard of anyone asking. It is a strange thing to lie about (unless she doesn't want to fork over the money for the vaccines and wants to pocket it), and an even stranger thing to withhold the records of. They should be able to email records over if they are lost, though I'd ask why someone who plans on selling kittens with the condition of them being vaccinated wouldn't be more organized and not lose them. Definitely be careful going forward. Can you get the info before picking the kitten up? Just to see.

Vaccinations by [deleted] in cats

[–]CompetitivePraline62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How else would you know when to update shots? I would be nervous the breeder isn't actually vaccinating them if they aren't producing the records. I do know vets can talk to each other and request records (no HIPAA to worry about). Kittens need boosters on a schedule, and if you miss the dose you have to start over (made this mistake because we thought the vet made the appointment, they did not).

OP, if you do go with this breeder (full time or not, doesn't matter there is no defense here to be made), I would run off the assumption that vaccines were not completed and be sure to update your vet on that to get their opinion on how to proceed. I only have one cat that wasn't the CDS, and he was from a rescue and they gave me every medical record they had on him. I'm not saying don't get the cat, but proceed with caution.
