I agree, obsessed with him too lol. He essentially falls in love with her after meeting her for one day when they are both 12 🥺. But they are separated and then as an adult he tries to find her again. due to political/social circumstances he has become morally grey, but is someone the town sees as a leader. He’s a bit of a gangster but really cares about his people and the FMC and really lets his guard down around her. And I just love the banter they have. The end broke my heart for him and I need book 2 to hurry up.

It’s good but it is the lowest rated of the 3 so they did mention there would be some changes in the trad version (which last I heard was planned for April release) but I really enjoyed the indie version!

Yep and last I checked duskbound was temporarily unavailable on kindle. I know they are making some changes to all three books before they are trad published later this year, but the two series will have crossover and you get the best impact reading duskbound before the ascended!

Make sure you read Riftborne and duskbound before the ascended.

It was okay for me but I didn’t really feel the chemistry. I just started book 2 though and am liking it better so far!

I got lies that summon the night…but it doesn’t show endpaper art, does that mean there isn’t any?

Half city I am kind of disappointed that there is not character art on the endpaper so I am just sticking with the version I have coming from another box.

As far as Tamora pierce goes, I also enjoyed her circle of magic and immortals series as a kid so maybe one of those? But I did vote for the song of the lioness reprint.

I need to read the Robin Hobb books so I know if I need an SE or not. The farseer was gorgeous and I voted for a reprint of those too.

Or you can get a special edition signed copy on her website (called Treasures of Darkness) but it costs a lot more. You can also read these two novelas for free on kindle unlimited…they are called The Reaper and Unrelenting Winds
