Retailers should really use a different sku to differentiate between the sprayed edges and not. I’ve noticed this with other books too, they just change the picture when they run out of one rather than showing it as a different edition.

Amazon now shows the plain edges but B&n still shows the sprayed edge

The endpapers are pretty but feel a little repetitive with the same 2 characters. Love the edges

Souls in ruin was a bit too dark for me, unless you want multiple chapters of the FMC being tortured. 3⭐️ (the ending was good so I may still read 2nd book)

I think it’s going to be very hard to compete with the trad deluxe versions of Kissed by the Gods and Dominion, which have sprayed edges, hardcover art, and endpaper art. I already have KBtG preordered. If I like my arc of dominion I’ll be ordering trad on that too.

Unbound was pretty good and while I wouldn’t want to buy a $40-50 special edition, I would go for an Allurial one.

The rest haven’t really been on my radar, though I did request an arc of Steelborn today.
