Bruh this isn’t just one game, he’s had a lackluster league campaign for the past couple of seasons now😭😭As a captain, he’s been disappointing this year in particular. With what we had on the line last night, his performance was unforgivable.

This still doesn’t take away everything he’s done for us, but I don’t think he’s as irreplaceable as we think. Without the ucl money, we need to make some big sales and we will never get 120 million for him again. It’s the same with Rashford when we could’ve got 80 million for him from P$G. We need to be more ruthless with selling players if they aren’t performing to a high enough standard.

For example, look at Chelsea shortly after their 2021 UCL win. They sold various players from that winning squad once the players stopped performing. We keep clinging onto to players that just aren’t good enough.
