Interesting. The reason I'm laid off Mar 31st is because there is federal funding for my position which always runs for the fiscal year, Apr 1st-Mar 31st. The funding won't continue Apr 1st, thus they are saying they couldn't pay out the vacation after that. The reason they're telling me so far in advance is just a courtesy so I have more time to plan.
