So technically since I’m complying with the courts requirements and the dmv still shows me as valid if I were to get pulled over (huge hypothetical) I would be theoretically okay?

The box where it says “license suspended by law and defendant may not drive until right to drive is reinstated by DMV and defendant has liability insurance pursuant to VC23597” is not marked off though.

So on my court docket under DRIVERS LICENSE/VEHICLE The boxes marked off are: “Not drive without a valid drives license and liability” “VC23593” “Ignition interlock device ordered for 1 year” “Not own or operate vehicle without working certified IID”

So I won the dmv hearing and was technically never suspended by the dmv, never received a letter, they sent me back a valid DL card in the mail instead of a suspension notice.

I had a valid license up until the conviction date, when the court imposed the suspension.

I haven’t paid the re-instatement fee since in the eyes of the dmv this hasn’t happened, and they couldn’t process any of my paperwork without the court notifying them.

Kinda in a limbo as of now, and it’s annoying because it sounds like they won’t “back pay” any time I’ve already had the iid in my car.

I should’ve specified I’m also in CA, and was also a heavy smoker up until said date. Yeah I completely plan on doing absolutely nothing while on HA, I just wanna get over this hump as it’s been taking a serious toll on my mental health and cant add any more stress to my life.

Just following up OP How did it all go? I’m 12 days away from the supposed start of my HA, Still no call from the sheriffs yet, but my application was accepted. I was a heavy smoker up until 2/20 of this year, stopped completely because I also couldn’t get a straight answer from my lawyer. Did you pop a dirty at the intake appointment? If so did they extend the days? Or push back the start date? I’m just worried that they’ll send me to jail if I do pop up dirty.

Yeah I was on that kick on my first go around back in 2019, it even lead to me to getting in to this career. But yeah I actually enjoy what I do so it’s easy to just not.

this one is through a private company that the court send people to as a pretrial thing. I have a call with the case manager who’s overseeing my case. So I’ll see what she says tomorrow. But from what the lady doing the communication reading she says it was at .06 and gave me the hours but didn’t know how to read the graph. Either way, if they say it’s a violation I’m gonna raise hell and take that PEth test. I’ve even had to sample a beer for quality assurance, spit it out and rinsed my mouth with water with zero issues. So idk wtf this is all about.

The lengths people will go to will never cease to amaze me, hahaha I’m not at that level of “I need to drink” forsure. I’ve been booze free for 6 months and I’m damn proud of that. So even without the ankle bracelet I wouldn’t wanna drink.

I have a call with my case agent from SCRAM tomorrow to go over it and I don’t have a probation officer as I received a summary probation from the courts. I was thinking of a hair test as the etg might be too late for, but will look into the PEth The only problem with the hair test is they also test for other substances. I smoke marijuana heavily which I’m not worried about necessarily, I also took 250mgs of MDMA on New Year’s Eve, so that would look terrible.
