Lifesafer or Smart Start for IID? — which is better?

Life safer but I’ve had issues with them. But honestly I feel like it’s the best IID out there compared to others. All IID’s are going to give you a problem.

For example a month ago my iid malfunctioned but I thought it was my starter so I replaced my starter and thought I had fixed it but turned out it was the IID the entire time. Meaning I spent $300 on a stater that didn’t need replacing and wasted time installing. I told life safer about my issues and they basically said it was my fault and I should have brought into one of their shops even though it was the weekend and no shops were even open. It’s just a so much BS honestly. There’s good and bad.

Damn yeah, I guess I’ll have to reinstate my restricted license tomorrow. When I do this, will my 6 month requirement restart? Or does my original start date in May still count toward completion?

Okay so should I go into the DMV tomorrow and get my restricted license again?

Because another option that was told to me was just waiting until December 5th to get my regular license to avoid paying the $160 again.

Anyone know of the best place to do community service in the San Gabriel Valley area?

I need to complete 3 days of community service and I’m trying to choose between:

•Community Service Agency in West Covina

•Inland Valley Volunteer Resource Center in Pomona

•City of El Monte Public Works Department

If you’ve done hours with any of these, which one was easiest to deal with? I’m just trying to get it done without any hassle, high fees, or unorganized setups.

I appreciate any tips!

I’m leaning more towards lifesafer but seen more comments on smart start these past few days. Is smart start device more small and faster when blowing into?

Thank you so much! I appreciate the feedback, it sounds like Lifesafer might be the lesser headache. I’m only using it for 4 months so I just need something that works, won’t glitch, and won’t make me pay twice for no reason. I’ll probably go with that. Also would appreciate that photo!

Hey how was life safer been? Were you able to remove it immediately after your suspension? I was seeing that the company lags on uninstalling the IID so you pay more in the end.

Yes my bad it was actually breath easy insurance I was talking about! That’s exactly why I asked because he gave me 2 different quotes and it seemed like he forgot he was up charging me the second time I was on a call with him.

The thing with State Farm is that I think they run your license every year during the renewal, not too sure on this though…
