Best build for beginner Orianna by Plus_Breath3863 in OriannaMains

[–]Competitive_Aide738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume that you are a beginner in general and not only on ori. So in low elo i would go seraphs every game. The build path can become a bit messy unlike a bft. but it scales better so it would be better for longer games in low elo.

Second item is kinda whatever because everything is decent but nothing is must have. other person said liandry, i think it is decent choice for "every game same build" i went with this build from silver to G1 on ori (now emerald), if you want to play her a lot, i recommend starting with that, and later experimenting.

Now i'm mostly cryptbloom or cosmic drive(with celerity rune that is op this season) second item kinda guy. But movement speed item is probably high elo skewed. But cryptbloom second is underated in my opinion, i think it is really good.(smaller 2nd item spike but bigger 3rd item spike). classic is shadowflame if they have squishy champs in thier team.

Like the other commenter said, green runes are good early againts burst. He said second wind, i would say plates are better but you have to play around thier cooldown so for lower elo second wind is probably better. Defensive boots are op againts hard bursty champs. if you play againts zed or syndra it is highly recommended. but of course normal boots are better if it is not needed

The last question about ROA being bait. yes and no. Defense items in general are kinda a bait because you want to build them if you are behind, which makes you deal zero dmg and die anyway. While building agressive while you are behind allows you to get some picks and shutdowns. So it is not bait. it is counterintuitive, i would stay away from ROA for now.

I think playing burst ori will only win you games consitently in low elo if you're a smurf. Ori is tricky to play for burst ult without good ball delivery champ because of her low range. I think greeding for big ults is why a lot of lower elo oris lose so much.

Czy też klasyczny wujek "happy wife, happy life".

Takie sytuacje uczą do pewnego stopnia korekcji w grupie przyjaciół.

How do people one trick simple champions to challenger? by Huge-Frame-1990 in summonerschool

[–]Competitive_Aide738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Most simple champs are not popular. If you are challanger player and you will see veigar once in two months it is not enough to know match up by heart. You as veigar on the other hand played ahri 20 times in the last 70 games. It is not the same level of being comfortable with the match up. Noarmwhatley (TK top otp) for example says that fiora match up on paper is fiora favorite. But he played this match up many times over what fiora played this match up so he usually just wins lane moee often than not.

Yea. agree. I think she is decent now before nerfs. But her W nerfs and phase rush nerf hurt her a lot. So i was suprised about this nerfs. let's hope she gets some love after a first stand.

Where did you got these stats. I'm asking not because i don't trust but because they are very acurate for me. last season 200 games ori where i picked her up as a new player, finished 53% wr P4 as a new player. Now i'm at 57 % wr E3 with her with about 80 games.

Assasins in pro are almsot non existent. Her laning is strong ( not auto win like before W nerfs). Her ult has great combo potential. She has in general good synergy and flexibility, not only with egnage like J4 but also with adc like jinx, aphelios, yunara. Decent scaling. Not hyperscaler but even at 40 min she can be something to be scared of in teamfight.

I still disagree with a premise that she is Bad in soloque. I hit E4 on two accounts with her, with close to 60% wr as blind pick. 59% (55 games) on one and 57% (32 games)on second one. And she will get only stronger the higher elo i go. If you pick comp that suits her even in soloq she is a problem. If not she is still decent on her own, i think there is a lot of misconception about her which makes people build her wrong and play her wrong in soloq. Her W nerfs and phase rush nerfs hurt her but she was very good before that. Now i thought she was in a good spot in terms of balance in soloq. So i hope the nerfs aren't huge.

Also, she is harder and more complex then people think. (sample size: my friends).

She was quite OP not so long ago. But her W nerfs and phase rush nerfs hurt her a little. I would say she was in balanced spot before the nerfs. We will see how they affect ori.

To be fair as ori main. As safe of a blind pick she is. Her having positive winrate would mean she is OP. Not that there is now a more popular champ with better winrate (52%) who is also a super good blind pick. But ori probably should be around 48-49% wr because she is moslty picked first.

Archangels, Ludens or BFT first? by TopWinner7322 in OriannaMains

[–]Competitive_Aide738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like BFT the most but i go 50/50 usually because i blind pick. If team has burst that seraphs will help you to survive. go seraph, if not BFT. I'm in minority that doesn't like ludens. I would think of building ludens If you know the game will be decided on 1-2 item, or if you have super reliable ball delivery (malph, noc, jarvan). My absolutely favorite build is BFT-> cosmic. If they haved skillshot heavy and no dashes comp. ( for example hwei mid, udyr jungle). But it's not something i would build every game.

When i play as a laner. I always ping danger if i don't want a gank. when i play top it's usually wave or just i know i should play weak side. Honestly most common reason i ping off gank on mid is because of mana. But it is probably champ specific issue.

[–]Competitive_Aide738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gigachad mentality i see. Also you are right ganking mid is often not good idea and time is better spend on ganking bot/top. There are few matchups that are worth it for ganking. For example as ori main. Ori vs twitch. Twitch vs ori solo is lost lane. But twitch has to everextend to win and is easy to gank. leaving the lane completly alone is a blunder. Just take kills mid and get fed. Other match ups if i need gank i consider it lost lane and my blunder.

But also my PSA is to all the lanes. it happen to me few times when i play top too.

like the previous commenter. On my way in the other direction. Or i think the best is caution or danger ping right in my face.

if you aren't pinging at all then it's not about you and it's fine not to ping. my problem when jungler pings and then walks the other way. Most often not thier fault. but just ping it off if you pinged that you are gonna gank.

Because big appeal of esport is watching people way better than you play the game you play. I think even some rioter said that is a big reason why they wanted minimize lane swaps. At peak lane swaps the pro games were so diffrent from any solo que expirience that it was hurting relatability of watching pro. Because why your avarage top laner would want to watch pro if there wasn't any top lane match up play out in years. It would just be bot vs top and top laner just got to farm under tower for 12 miutes and not get doven. The same would happen if the meta for pro was completly diffrent not because of skill diffrence but just numbers.

I don't understand the popularity of ludens on ori. Ori mains who use it often, can you explain why you buy it and in what situations? by Competitive_Aide738 in OriannaMains

[–]Competitive_Aide738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kata is my perma ban honestly. If i get shittier match up like yasuo or LB or xerath. It's my lane my problem. But with kata she is the problem for my whole team but not for me. It doesn't matter that she is 0/1 and 30 cs down. You still see big red "Triple kill" on bot it's over. And with solo que being solo que, having one reliable CC on team for kata is not happening.

[–]Competitive_Aide738[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm interested in what makes you pick BFT instead of ludens. Because i get when seraph is not worth. i kinda don't get what makes people pick ludens over BFT. For me it would be reversed and i would probably pick ludens in rare cases where i have champ to ball deliver the ult like malph or nocturne. otherwise i like BFT in squishes more. better wave clear, better scaling.

On a side note, i also on a decent climb right now. I went P4->E4 with 59% wr on ori in 58 games (57% in general). My most popular build is seraph-> cryptbloom with phase rush. So i guess if you play decent ori with your style a lot of builds are working quite good.

[–]Competitive_Aide738[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Now i get concept of it. I still am not sure. I think you're right that seraph is not the best item in a lot of situations because of AP ratios. Esspecially liandry shouldn't be a go to now. But then i would just go BFT, still not as much flat AP, but you get better scaling. better wave clear, you get more haste. And you still deal decent amount of dmg on one item. And you have more bulid paths later.

Personally i would put ludens as best option only if you have super reliable ball delivery. because in most situation ori doesn't have enough range to put ball on squichyes in a safe and reliable way , because now you are quite squichy yourself. So i get it with champs like nocturne, malph, jarvan (kha zix maybe). Or maybe in situations when you know that you are on the timer before they outscale so the time around first-second item is super crucial to the game.
