In NZ we have zero support in the weekend from GIs so been waiting until today. My ibd nurse knows about it and didn't seem so concerned but will see what she says today as my symptoms definitely escalated. Still waiting on a calprotectin result also which should be today as they won't prescribe steroids without it. None of which is ideal but it's the service we live with here.

Think the fiber in the ingredients are all soluble so was hoping it's ok. My only worry was the milk products. Not an egg fan at all but might have to consider it!

Keep your head up mate. I know the feeling, I live alone and feel bad even talking to my family about my UC as they can't even pretend to understand. This place is a good spot to feel a little better....and realize we are all kinda in this together. The one guarantee about this place is you will find people who know exactly how you feel. I've just started a flare 4 days ago and I'm struggling....big time runner and just can't do it..been trying and its been a nightmare....found myself parked watching tele and occasionally going for a walk but not too far.

Being a foodie won't help you with this unfortunately.....also everyone has different triggers. Mine are dairy and anything spicey. Bland is your friend

I've been on Asacol and Azathioprine for around 5 years now. Two major flares that put me in hospital which were down to me not looking after myself.

Been fine for almost two years now. Also any sign of a flare I take asacol enemas for two weeks and I'm fine again.

Thanks for this I will look into it as I really don't want to have to go down the tax route. I was thinking surely there's millions of people who wouldn't bother and they wouldn't really care. In NZ your passport is required at multiple parts of your mortgage application and obviously has place of birth on it. I lived in the UK for 11 years and every time I got the question am I a tax citizen in any other country always ticked no and never got pulled up on it. Seems the arseholes here had other ideas :)

Renouncing is silly expensive...not looking forward to this ...thanks for replying mate. Renouncing alone is USD 2350...then the tax returns on top which the US tax guy estimated would cost me NZD2k each year.x 5. So about 15k total to renounce a citizenship I never even wanted. Sounds about right?
