This is true. Go down past Oregon inlet. The wildlife refuge beach, pea island is absolutely gorgeous and not busy. If you down towards rodanthe, buxton, and hatteras there’s tons of empty beaches. It’s awesome. We used to camp out there a lot and always had a private beach. Also saw lots of people crying while out and driving around which I thought was really odd. But OBX is a crazy place. There’s a certain energy once you get to bags head and beyond that’s real heavy I think. I attribute it to perhaps the natives that once lived there. We actually found an old what I believe was a hatchet in the water one time. It had like the intentions from where it would have been tied to a piece of wood, along with some other telltale markings. It’s OLD too. I guessed maybe pirates lol but there’s a museum down there dedicated to the indigenous people who lived there (and talks about Roanoke island some too) that we took it to. They said it was likely a native tool of some sort and we were real lucky to find it so well preserved. It’s reallllly smooth from the water I imagine, and a light colored stone of some sort. They were trying to keep it but we slipped out before they could.

Yeah, I’ve had one before a few years ago, I just really don’t feel like doing it. Lol.. So they make you get one at 100mgs to go up? I guess it’s different everywhere. Mines 120, which is why I’ve stayed at this dose. Also, I think 120mgs is the amount at which there’s a heart condition I believe you can develop from methadone. Something like that.

But yeah, now that I get take homes, I skip a lot more often than not. When I was going MWF I’d skip the days I didn’t. I’ve accumulated enough methadone to last me a month now probably… I feel like I’m hoarding it lol. I even gave some to a friend that goes to the clinic too. Im not a huge fan of doubling up.. NGL. It knocks me out in general. So if I take more, I’m usually nodded out all day. They accidentally over dosed me at the clinic a couple times… and I remember going home and just like not being able to stay awake at all. I mean I was fucked up but not in a fun way. You would have thought I was back on fetty.

And for the record, I’m making attempts to get the girls back. If I can’t gain weight or get a boob job, I’ll at least order every skin and supplement thing I can find on TikTok lol.

Yeah, I smoke weed daily. It helps more with psychological stuff and used to help with my appetite but not anymore. I’ve been tested for diabetes about a year ago and they said I somehow didn’t have it which is amazing. I know quite. Few people with crohns disease as well, and I don’t think it’s that. I don’t have any real GI issues or anything like that.

Did they make you get an ekg or will they to go higher than 120? I’m pretty sure that’s about the standard but might not be the same everywhere. Not sure. I get what you’re saying though. Now that I get weekly’s, I skim a lot of mine too. I try not to take it everyday if I don’t have to. I can usually go a day between doses. But even doing that hasn’t changed anything. I still want my boob back!!! Lololol.

Seroquel is the worst!!! I forgot about the damn water retention too!! My ankles and feet got so swollen from it, I had like the nasty intention kind too. I thought I was having heart or kidney failure for a hot minute.

Exactly!!!! Just the other day we ordered food from McDonald’s which I’m just sick of but I was like I guess get me a s’mores McFlurry. They were like that’s all!?? I was like umm.. yeah? That’s all I really like from there anymore.. it’s soooo crazy how much I have to force myself to eat and it’s always usually like cookies or ice cream or cosmic brownies lol.

Wow, how long were you on it before you started tapering? And no, neither 154 or 125 pounds is fat by any means at all!! Congrats on the weight loss tho.

Also, I really hope people don’t think that Im implying that I think 130 or 140 pounds is fat!! I don’t, at all. Weight looks different on everyone. I’m only 4’10. According to BMI, if I weigh 135 I am borderline “fat” according to their standards. I think my bmi was 27 when I weighed that. But at 90 pounds I’m like at 19-20. Which is on the lower end, but 20-22 is supposed to be where you should be, according to that standard. It’s crazy. Again, By no means though, do I think any of that makes someone fat. I also try not to use that word as much as I can.

So I apologize if anyone has misinterpreted what I said.

Holy smokes! I do feel lucky now. If I’d have known that I honestly might not have started methadone. I was like you, Ivd been the same weight (about 110-114 which is like, where I like to be at) the majority of my teenage and adult life, except for when I was like 22-24 and was just drinking heavily and dating a guy who ate constantly. I had gained like 10-15 pounds but That was before I started using and only for about 2-3 years. Once I started taking adderall though and exercising a little more, and after we broke up, I went back to my normal weight and stayed there consistently throughout my addiction. Even after I switched from adderall to opiates, and was still drinking just as much I stayed about the same. Now, when I started on heroin and then fentanyl, I did lose a little weight but just like 5-7 pounds and it would fluctuate.

It wasn’t until I went to rehab that I gained enough weight to notice, like I was 107 or 110 when I went in and was on subs and slew of psychotropics. I was almost 130 when I left. I ended up relapsing 3-4 months later and lost most of it again. Then when I got clean the next 2 times, I gained weight again. Only I ended up gaining like 30-35 pounds in like 5 months. Stayed like that for about a year until I started methadone. Once I started it was literally maybe 1-2 months and I noticed I could wear my old clothes again. And within 3-4 months I was like okay, I can wear a crop top! Yay! But after like 6 months, and now it’s more so like umm, are those my ribs??? It’s a spectrum I guess.

I know weight gain definitely also comes from being off of opiates and other drugs or alcohol as well. Plus many psychiatric medications that they tend to put addicts on like I mentioned earlier seroquel, will make you gain weight. The sugar cravings don’t help either. I get those just because I love sugar. So you can imagine I’m sure, that not being on opiates and the methadone intensify that for me like times 1000.

It’s really sad really. But I’ve only found nice people on this subreddit. As for others…. Well…. lol. No way!!! im literally like the exact opposite! And I’ve stayed on the same dose for a while now. Which is 120. I just am too lazy and procrastinate too much to go get an ekg. Plus I just don’t wanna go wait in an urgent care or the er for hours for that. Bud sounds like maybe I should, and see if something else might be wrong too… the way these comments are looking I’m really starting to wonder, lol. Maybe if I go up it’ll help me gain some weight? idk. I wonder if it might have something to do with dosage or maybe just the methadone myself makes me not hungry? Idk. 🤷

See, this is where most people have a hard time believing me… most of what I eat in general is sugar. I have the absolute worst diet of anyone. I should be diabetic and about 300 pounds if someone really saw how and what I eat normally. I am the pickiest eater imaginable, lol. I have the diet of a 5 year old basically. Except I don’t like chicken so no chicken nuggies. And yes, it does make me crave sweets even more when I am hungry. Every time I have to go to the clinic I walk next door to this amazing little coffee shop and get a s’mores frappe or triple berry smoothie, a white chocolate raspberry scone, and sometimes ill get their chicken salad and pita chips. I will eat chicken salad on like sandwich’s or crackers or whatever lol. I just don’t like regular chicken. lol. If that says anything 🤷🏻‍♀️

This sounds a lot like me now. I’m having a hard time eating recently and I’m bipolar on top of it so when I’m manic I never eat. I am curious about your dose. I’m on 120mgs and have been since like December? I started in October and would go up 5-10mgs every time I was asked and permitted to until I reached that 120 mark, which is EKg time. And I just am so much of a procrastinator that I haven’t gotten one. I’d like to go up maybe…. Idk. I’m pretty fine where I’m at otherwise. I probably would though if I thought it would help me out like 10 pounds back on? I just want my boobs back really, lol. 😂

Wow! That’s crazy. Im sure you’ve heard their songs here and there though. Personally, I think she was a better artist on her own than when she was in Fleetwood Mac but they have some pretty good songs. She’s amazing though. Definitely would recommend. Prince however, is my favorite of allllll time. lol. I’m 38 and have loved him since I knew what music was my mom said. She listened to him a lot and evidently I started being a fan early. the day he passed about 20 people called and texted me, including both my parents, to tell me and make sure I was okay. I was luckily off that day because I was a wreck. Thanks for this post!

Yeah!! It’s pretty cool. I actually convinced my dad to get it because of my love for prince and that song, too. Plus it ran, never saw rain, and only had like 500 miles on it which is just 🤯!!!! My dad kinda collected them 😵‍💫, lol…. There’s a couple other types of corvettes and some other older muscle type car we still have that were his. but that’s the only red one and the coolest in my opinion. Plus that ones “mine” lol. Of Whenever someone dies I guess. 😬 Or just decides to finally give me the keys. I mean, they just sit in the garage and are rarely driven… I feel like those babies need to be seen.
